"Write the Future" is a 3-minute Nike commercial directed by (the not yet) Best Director Academy Award winner Alejandro González Iñárritu back in 2010. It basically shows us the impact that football/soccer has on our culture and society in terms of films, baby names or stock market crashes. Also, to extent this to sports in general I assume, they threw in a random reference to the NBA and Kobe Bryant. Spectavular effects, loud music etc makes this a watch that can very well be describe by style over substance. The inspirational title is almost cringeworthy. I quite like the filmmaker behind this, but here he certainly was not at his best yet or was simply not allowed by Nike to make this a creative film that excels beyond special effects. The reference about Gael Garcia Bernal playing Cristiano Ronaldo was really the only somewhat entertaining aspect from the three minutes. Not recommended.
