This is a great low budget, high talent film. Great humour and great characterisations. A new slant on good versus evil with a solid story-line, that easily keeps your interest throughout. The 3 main characters are larger than life. Danny Idollor is hugely powerful and menacing as the messiah, and his simmering evil is beautifully offset by the frailty and innocence of Simon Phillips who plays J and the streetwise Gemma Deerfield playing Sally. The relationship of the 3 characters is well developed and you find yourself caring about what is happening to them. The fabulously rugged Scottish locations add an extra dimension to what is already an outstanding piece of work and the cinematography is at times breathtaking. The ending will leave you emotionally exhausted, thoughtful and a bit disturbed but you will definitely be looking for more from this young team.
