After watching the first episode there is alot to like. Great casting, good writing & back in the streets of New York. There is 1 small thing missing from the show that shocked me wasn't there, where is the humor? With writing that come from NYPD Blue I was expecting there to be some humor sprinkled into the show at some point. They definitely have the actors to pull it off. If they can find a way to add that into the show we will have the perfect mix of drama, action & comedy. That will make for a great show. B- first episode with the potential to get much better. Good start so far, I'm excited to see what happens next.

Shave that moustache.

My wife will watch anything that has Jimmy Smits in it. Even that awful show last year where he played a lawyer in Memphis. Her only comment on his new show was.... please shave that terrible moustache. He looks ridiculous with that thin line of hair sitting on his lip.
As for the woman who plays the lead, she is wayyyy over the top. Tone it down.
And if I had to guess, I'd bet that the NYPD has a dental plan. Yet that young female officer runs around with the most busted set of teeth this side of the BBC.
So, to fix this show, give Jimmy Smits more to do, tone down the lead female, and get that young girl to the dentist.
However, I do like Richard Kind here. He's always great.
