This is such a beautiful documentary. I have been a long time fan and I enjoyed every minute of it. I really love Red Wanting Blue. It is such a pleasure to be able to have this DVD and watch them whenever I want! The concert footage is amazing and the interviews are so cool... especially OAR! The journey they go on in this documentary is very telling of their dedication to their craft, they deserve all the credit they can get! It's unbelievable to me that these guys haven't become huge stars yet. They've been around for a long time, touring and recording while garnering a large following. I can't wait to see them live (again), but at least I have this documentary to keep me company until then!

Great documentary film and reveals a great band if you haven't already heard of Red Wanting Blue

I am so happy I got to watch These Magnificent Miles because it reminded me that there are musicians out there who do it for the love of music not for the fame or money. The guys in this band are truly remarkable artists and you can tell how much they care and love music because of their devotion to Red Wanting Blue and their fans. The band was not the only thing I enjoyed about this film, the directing and story line of this documentary made it watchable and the performances Ken Davenport decided to show made me want to buy tickets to Red Wanting Blue. I would definitely recommend this film to anyone who likes to listen to music, curious about behind the scene footage and how independent bands function and live their lives.

A great documentary about a great band -- easy on the ears and (nearly as important) easy on the eyes! I wasn't very familiar with Red Wanting Blue before seeing this documentary, but a co-worker of mine has been obsessed for quite a while. I wasn't interested at all because I figured they were just another "indie band" that hipsters love to gush over and take pride in the fact that no one else was listening. I thankfully gave in just this once to take a look (and because it was easier to pop in a DVD than it would be to sit around halfheartedly listening to CDs), and I have to say I was won over! There's something about live music that just goes head and shoulders above the recorded stuff. It's inspiring to see guys who believe so much in what they do. I can't believe they lasted so many years without the support of a record company. Goodness knows I would have fizzled out after a few months at the most.
