The plan of brothers
AvionPrince1620 March 2024
Warning: Spoilers
So very interesting how the brothers deal with the problem of the death of the drug dealer .

And that make us introduced some new vilains and new faces to see . We are completely in tension like the brothers when they tried to make a mise en scene to Blame Jethro. So we constantly asking ourself : is this gonna work ? He will spot the lies or not ? And what will be the consequences when he will know the truth ?

I like also that part when Stanley make everyone invited at his house . And that the fact that he is aware of the drug business and the fact that he is more interested of the drug business than the brother's house . A nice episode that still alternate between comedy ,serious and even action. And it sound interesting for the future episodes!

Excellent, with one disappointment

Warning: Spoilers
An amazing series, their episode continues and builds the intensity and complications. All aspects of the series are generally amazing.

The lead, a 'good guy', is getting deeper and deeper into a frightening spiral from which it is harder and harder to see a way out.

In this episode, he finds himself - willingly? - VERY deeply, personally involved.

The disappointment, here, is the reason that he becomes fully enmeshed in the spider's web. Seconds from getting away, he somehow, uncharacteristically, accidentally flips a switch on the sound system.

This leads to a fight, which leads to our hero's quick-witted solution to several problems. It's a nice portrayal of his particular skill set which makes him valuable to the people he's in league with, and compelling to viewers. But, his error IS so glaringly inconsistent, it just hits with a thud.

The payoff of the episodes does work, though.

Solid follow up with a caveat

Warning: Spoilers
This episode does a great job of picking off where the pilot left off and expanding what we know about our current cast of characters, along with introducing a couple new ones.

But I had 1 major issue with this episode: how they dealt with Freddy. A man that has already caused issues for Eddie and Susie with his gambling and drug habits, thanks them for helping him by shooting a higher up of an opposing gang? For having to dance like chicken? Then Eddie deals with this by again trying to cover us his dumb brother's mistakes. And at the end, he decides it would be a good idea to reveal their drug enterprise to him? Like that won't be an issue going forward?

It already seems like Freddy is an inserted character to cause issues that everyone else has to solve to move the story forward. Freddy has no likable traits, and it would've been better to get rid of him now than having to deal with his egotistical shenanigans any more.

S1.E2 - Better than the First Episode [9/10]

Warning: Spoilers
(S1. E2) My Live Reaction / Review for The Gentlemen Season 1 Episode 2 ''Tackle Tommy Woo Woo''. The previous episode was good and I gave it a rating of 8/10. Let's see if this one is better or worse. Tackle Tommy Woo Woo, what kind of message is this? What did Jethro mean by that? This ''jesus'' guy seems even crazier than his brother. I wish that Freddy would go to jail, I really dislike him, he should pay for his crimes. Eddie killed that gangster? Damn, I didn't see that coming, so now he is a killer too, just like his brother. Im so glad Johnston is in this episode, I hope he will be in the rest of the episodes too. Gospel now thinks that Jethro killed his brother, that's kinda funny. Jethro is about to die, that kinda sucks. Overall this episode was good and I enjoyed it. My rating is 9/10.
