A satisfying finale, even though it's not yet over.
Achyut_Prashast_Singh3 April 2022
I was a bit surprised when the episode began, as I couldn't understand what timeline it belonged to. However, the confusion went away with time and I realized I might be watching one of the best episodes of this season so far. It started out lighthearted, but soon became serious and ended on an epic, intense note. The end is very satisfying, even though the story remains to be completed. The action in this one was top notch, and managed to deliver a good build-up for the next part of this anime set to arrive next year. It was the right way to conclude this season.

"The Dawn of Humanity" The perfect way to end Part 2.

The Music, the visuals, the voice acting.., unbelievable!

And also one of the best Attack on Titan episode in my opinion.

Chapter 123 + 130 = Masterpiece.

Low-key the best episode of the second part.
TheFirst013 April 2022
This episode was everything you wanted and more. The flashbacks were amazing with so many great moments, and the cliffhanger wasn't as big as the cliffhanger from the final episode of the first part. Whole episode was great, but the final 5 minutes were the cherry on top. Spectacular+ the OST to make it even better. These final 5 minutes were very well done, because they could have just ended it without showing any of the titans, but at least they gave us a taste the Rumbling before having to wait till 2023 for the third part. Hadn't written a review for the second part of this season, but this episode was too great to not do it, and probably because they gave me more than I expected. Hope this stays at a 9.9 or above on IMDB.

Eren's motivation built by his original trauma
Adam-092654 April 2022
Eren becomes the very thing he swore to defeat.

We take a look at the events of Eren and the Scout Regiment entering Marley before the plot of this season took off. It was great to see old familiar faces giggling in humble prosperity again just like we did in Season 3. No divided notions, fallen comrades or depressed alienation, it was a breath of fresh air for the first half of the episode to remind us what they used to have.

Towards the second half explains more into depth about why and what Eren's plan was before everything kicked off in Marley. A sorrowful engagemant with certain characters to what Eren's intentions actually mean. Then the episodes final moments reach us with the start of what Eren plans to do, to crush Marley and it's people just like his home was in the first season. Some good action towards the end but is cut short, more of a tease for the next episode. The build up is done, the conclusion is here and now. Next episode should be huge.

9.8/10.

EREN YEAGER
aboalhyjaa3 April 2022
The freedom godfather, paradise hero and savior and the attack titan is the HERO of this episode and obviously part3 which they announced after the episode and will be aired in2023.

This episode is the definition of perfection, peak action and a bit of Isayama's comedy, Levi, Mikasa and most importantly Eren are the most characters that was shown in this episode.

This is actually one of the most important episodes in season 4 part 2 and the whole show because it gives us the reason behind every why we asked in this part and on Eren's doings. I truly wished it was longer but for a 22 minutes episode it gives us exactly what we needed and we kinda see Eren's growth and with him his envy and anger grows!

Pinnacle of storytelling
anikethota4 April 2022
Before coming to the actual episode I have to say something about how great Season 1 of AOT truly is, everything we are witnessing now was set in stone from season 1 especially Eren's true nature.

Hajime Isayama is nearly unrivalled in foreshadowing and re - contextualising the previous scenes.

Now coming back to the episode this is probably my favourite episode of the series.

Animation, visuals, character design, direction, ost choices everything was beyond amazing.

I am not going to discuss anything about the content of this episode because I don't think I can properly explain how great it truly is without spoiling.

Bittersweet, cinematic, scorging conclusion to part 2!!
and_mikkelsen3 April 2022
Once again we got PEAK AOT! This episode felt like the begining of a movie! The visuals were fantastic through out the entire episode! Deffinetely worth the 2 weeks wait! Despite not much happening in the first half it was really nice seeing our man characters just beeing normal people! Seeing them SMILE...really got to me! The last 5min was incredible! Visuals and OST were ON POINT! The world is cruel... and so was that cliffhanger ending! If part 3 gets the same cinematic treatment its gotta be worth the wait! 2023 here we goo.

Peak Fiction, Enough Said
Qoenntrell3 April 2022
Not only was the decision to combine 123 and 130 together impeccable, but so was the execution. Many scenes were elevated astronomically for a fantastic finish to part 2 of the final season. Here's to the finale next year!

On that day, Mankind received a grim reminder, that they were living in the fear of Eren Yeager.
marveller-665 April 2022
The parallels to E1 Fall of Shiganshina is insane. 123 is among my top favorite chapters and my level of happiness seeing it animated is not measurable. Peak OSTs as always. Eren's true reason for his decision is revealed. So many questions answered. And the terrifying final minutes. Can't wait for part 3 and I don't think I could handle the premiere episode on 2023 which most probably will be 'The Rumbling'. My fav AOT chapter.

Greatness

Warning: Spoilers
This episode was really something else. The first half of the episode was really funny and wholesome, and it let us see how the characters would react to the outside world and what to feel about seeing people just like them outside the walls. This half also was really important because it gives us more reason to understand why the characters would want to stop Eren from destroying the world, since they saw people just like them and spent time with them. The second half made us understand more why Eren is doing all of this and it gave us some new details we needed to know ( like Eren telling Floch about his mission). The episode added more depth to Eren's characters, and of course the ending was so great.

beginning of the downhill fall for aot
jakobgately29 April 2022
This is where inconsistencies in story and character begin to appear for the show. Would have rated higher but knowing the ending, but im going to avoid spoilers. However, because of this, this episode becomes kinda bad which is sad because this series was incredible before.

Animation music and stakes keeps it at a 7 though.

The cost of war
tinlittlenerd4 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This world is so cruel, but it is also very beautiful. Despite all the hate and horror the world wants to inflict on Eldia, even the devils of paradis can find a moment to laugh among their "enemies." The Rumbling is all of those horrors personified; it will lead to nothing but terrible pain and suffering. However, it's still incredible to witness what the will of one man is capable of. Perhaps Eren's actions are justified, or maybe he truly is in the wrong. Only one thing is certain: there are no winners in this war, but Eren is the only one willing to fight it.

2023!!! No!! Can't believe it
nyxstrix3 April 2022
I like that someone's finally thinking about Eren's change from loud-mouthed sociopath to a solemn, almost stoic shell of his former self. Like did you see that look on his face when he saw Marley, it wasn't like anyone else's, it was intense for awhile.

Overall, another great episode. I like everyone's reaction to being in what to them seems like a whole new world and their party with the refugees. I especially loved the little hints that at this point in time, Eren's still dealing with what he saw and wrestling with the idea that it's fate.

I'm glad we finally saw Historia again and that but man oh man, Eren's expression while explain everything to Zeke and then us finally seeing him cut off his leg and gouge out his eye, was....chef's kiss. Also, did anyone else peep his face during the flashback to Sasha's death? I like how we see it's one of shock and horror, I didn't like how his laugh in the sub sounded genuine, dub did it better.

And the Rumbling, good god it's just as terrifying as I'd hoped. An unstoppable force and an unmovable object at the same time wielded by the most dangerous man in the world. Eren's Founding Titan up close looks great. At first, I didn't like it but now I kinda enjoy how it looks barely human.

Brutal Departure to the Part
BadgerStorm43454 April 2022
This ending has a cliffhanger that haunts you. This episode shows us desperation from certain characters as well as the true horror of what's going on. This episode was beautifully animated with an amazing OST to match. This is one of the best and most tragic episodes of the show and is a great ending to the part.

Terrifying, but Beautiful at the same time!!! <3
tsukiyamaorganization4 April 2022
It's 2022, 8 years ago, in 2014 I started this anime, one of the first I watched, "Attack on Titan". From the first episodes I immediately fell in love with this anime, from songs, from fights against titan and the beautiful animation from Wit Studio, but above all the Characters, OMG, how fantastic they are, unique in their way of doing, from Eren, Mikasa, up to Levi and Erwin. How beautiful they were, but then .... you start losing them one after time, Erwin, Sasha, Kenny, Porco, Hannes. And death after death the tears begin to fall more and more. But this last episode totally shocked me, because if on the one hand I was happy to see all of them, Hange, Sasha, Connie, Armin, etc .. having fun and being carefree, but on the other side I saw him, Eren, crying, knowing that the future had already been written for him and that he could not do anything to avoid it, and that his hands should have been stained with the blood of so many people. So beautiful the story, but at the same time so dark and violent.

P. S. SHINZOU WO SASAGEYO!!!!!!

WOW
mdjubaer-417383 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
No words can describe what a masterpiece this episode is. Studio MAPPA went ham with the visuals for this one as we see our beloved characters for the last time this season. As always the soundtracks and directing of the episode is top notch. This is one episode which will definitely bring joy to any Attack On Titan fan and it's not a stretch to say that any non Attack On Titan fans would become fans after watching this. The last 7 minutes of this episode will keep you on your toenails in classic Attack On Titan fashion. Beware though as this episode will make you craving for more.

Wow!
Gintoki-818775 April 2022
I ve got no words , the only complaint i ve got about this episode and this season in general is that we gotta wait another year, but it s all good considering the quality we got this season. It was just incredible, also the direction for this episode was out of this world , combining chapter 123 and 130 was such a great idea. Can t wait!

Good ending to the second part of the season, before it'll fall apart in the third part.
EddyTheMartian0073 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The final episode of Attack On Titan... wait you mean there's a third part coming to the final season?! What manipulative marketing haha. Oh well at least we got some good flashbacks, but no AOE and they skipped surprisingly a lot from the manga which I don't like, they didn't even adapt chapter 130 fully, don't like this pacing. Regardless, onto the episode itself, why do they have to treat the characters like morons who don't know cars exist? Like you have literal trains... Also the fact that there happens to be a kid who steals from Sasha to parallel the Eldians, not forced at all! Like I've been saying there's no subtlety left in the series, but hey this is a good episode I'll try to stop criticizing too much. The really good stuff comes in the second half. I couldn't care less about the Mikasa romance with Eren, it's just cheesy. The episode later confirms that Mikasa doesn't actually act like this cause she's an Ackerman, nope she's just unhealthily obsessed with Eren, no interesting character work there anymore. I could've also done without the flashbacks to scenes we've already seen, but what was really good was finally seeing more of Eren's perspective. Eren telling his plan to Floch and Historia, calling her the baddest girl haha, cutting his own leg, and declaring he'll kill everyone to stop the cycle of hate, cool stuff. They adapted it pretty faithfully, so I surely hope they don't go against the set up here in the future! The fleets shooting at the rumbling titans looked kinda funky though, except at the end when it showed the founding Titan looked very cool. Overall though it was a good episode, not great, but solid. Wouldn't usually review something like this I don't have much thoughts on but since I've reviewed the rest of the season I might as well might. Fine episode, nothing special, not a 10/10, but maybe the last good episode.

Part 2 has had 5-6 incredible 10/10 episodes and this is one of them. It's also crazy how this episode will pale in comparison to what is coming right after. The best show of all time will reach it's conclusion spectacularly.
