Gwyneth Paltrow prepared to jet out of La yesterday when she arrived at Lax. The actress-turned-lifestyle mogul has been in the headlines this week, despite maintaing a relatively low profile in the past few days. Martha Stewart recently commented on Gwyneth's lifestyle venture, Goop, saying that she hopes that Gwyneth is "authentic" with her interest in the lifestyle arena. While Martha didn't outwardly criticize Gwyneth, some thought that her comments were a little judgmental about the actress's motives. On top of that, Vanity Fair editor in chief Graydon Carter recently confirmed that his magazine is working on a feature story about Gwyneth, which she allegedly tried to put a stop to and urged her friends to not participate in. Gwyneth did get in a bit of fun this week when she turned to tables on friend and journalist Amanda de Cadenet and interviewed her for Amanda's UK version of The Conversation.

Worst Excuse: After Aaryn Gries was booted from Big Brother, she was questioned by the Chenbot about her racist and homophobic comments. Her response was to basically use the Paula Deen offense: “In Texas, we say things that are sometimes… we joke and we don’t mean it. I feel bad that this is how it came across and how I’m being seen.” In other words: This is so ingrained into my personality that I don’t even know I’m doing it. "I definitely don't want to have kids," she put bluntly on the show's April 27 episode. "I don't think I'd be a great mother. I don't want to have a kid and have it raised by a nanny. I don't have the time to raise a child. Childhood was heartbreaking enough for anybody. I don't know that I could handle my own child, especially if I had a girl, going through what I went through growing up. Not that it was so traumatic, but in many ways, it was, in your own way."

Demi, Demi, Demi. We seem to remember having this conversation with you before: Getting back together with your ex when you’re in this still-fragile, post-rehab state, is a terrible idea. Even though you’re looking sooo much healthier, and you’re doing an awesome job as the producer of Amanda De Cadenet’s The Conversation, we still think this rumor we heard from Grazia magazine (via ContactMusic) this morning, points to disaster: According to an unnamed source, estranged spouses Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher are going on a “sex-free” retreat on the advice of Rabbi Yehuda Berg, their Kabbalah teacher. They’ll be staying in separate rooms and monitored by Berg, the source says.
This is all, of course, still in the realm of gossip and we have no idea if it’s true — but they did go on that camping trip to patch things up before, and they...

Too much information? Connie Britton, the actress famous for her roles on Friday Night Lights and American Horror Story, confessed that her sex life has been anything but exciting since adopting son Yoby from Ethiopia last November.
"I have no sex life right now," the 45-year-old said on the Lifetime talk show The Conversation With Amanda de Cadenet. "I keep thinking about how I could do it, how I could pull it off."
Although the actress said that she was ready and in great shape to meet a man, she just didn’t have the time. In addition to raising her baby boy, Connie has been promoting her new ABC series Nashville. "When I go home, I have my little guy."
Even though her sex life is lacking, Connie is head over heels in love with her son. "I do very strongly believe that he and I did choose each other,...

Every relationship is different, but recently engaged star Miley Cyrus might want to listen to what Oliva Wilde has to say.
The 28-year-old actress opened up to Amanda de Cadenet on the Lifetime series, "The Conversation," about her divorce from Italian price and filmmaker Tao Ruspoli.
Wilde said that after eight years of marriage, she realized her marriage wasn't working.
“I think I finally started being really honest with myself, and that is a scary thing to do, to really look in the mirror and say, ‘I am the luckiest person on earth, there is this extraordinary person who’s my partner in life, everything seems perfect, why aren’t I happy? There’s something wrong,’” she told Cadenet.
The actress said "I do" at the age of 19 and signed her divorce papers in 2011, and now admits that getting married so young "stunted her growth."

Comedienne Sarah Silverman is seriously considering adopting a child because she doesn't want to risk passing on her depression to a natural born son or daughter.
The School of Rock star admits her gynaecologist is often giving her a hard time about freezing her eggs, now she's in her 40s, but she insists she has no plans to become a mum, unless she adopts.
Appearing on U.S. TV show The Conversation with Amanda DeCadenet on Thursday, she said, "I don't want kids. I'd love to adopt someday and I have a lot of adoption in my family... I know that I have this depression and that it's in my family. Every family has their stuff but, for me, I just don't feel strong enough to see that in a child."
And she jokes, "I haven't frozen my eggs and what are the chances my womb isn't polluted at this point? I do believe in adoption... I watched my oldest niece be born... (and) I passed out... All I could think was, 'Oh my God, we are animals'."
Silverman admits she can't understand why more people don't adopt when there are so many kids in need of loving homes around the world.
She adds, "We live in Los Angeles, where everybody is like, 'Don't get your dog from a breeder, get your dog from a shelter...' and I agree, but don't get your people from a breeder. There are human puppies in shelters and it's odd that that never seems to be a connection that people make.
"If you're not Ok with yourself... it's easier to love a dog than a person in need because you don't see all the things you hate about yourself reflected back in the eyes of a dog. If Africa was full of springer spaniels dying of Aids and starvation we'd probably take care of it in a day."...

Actress Olivia Wilde knew her marriage was over the day she and her now ex-husband completed renovations on their new house - because it didn't feel like home for her.
The Tron: Legacy star ended her eight-year marriage to Italian prince Tao Ruspoli last year and now reveals it was a new home that made her realise the romance was over.
In a frank TV chat with The Conversation host Amanda DeCadenet, which aired in America on Thursday, the pretty star said, "We'd just finished a huge renovation on the house... We built a new house and it was perfect... The day it was finished is when I knew it wasn't the house. I think that I finally started being really honest with myself and that was the scariest thing to do.
"(I said), 'I am the luckiest person on earth; there is this extraordinary person who is my partner in life, everything seems perfect, why aren't I happy?'
"I kept trying to do different things, change different things to make everyone happy and I moved houses... I changed all the outside stuff... I thought, 'It's the house, it's wrong for us and it's making us something we're not and we've lost something,' and I thought, 'It's the environment... We need nature'. I kept thinking, 'We need grass'.
"We get the house, get the grass - (it's) still not working, so I think, 'We've got to renovate the whole thing,' and I would literally walk in to the room of a house that I bought because I loved... and I'd say, 'I'm being decapitated, the house is decapitating me,' and he (Ruspoli) would say, 'Ok, we'll bust up the ceilings...' He was really trying to accommodate all these requests."
Wilde admits she still has regrets about ending her marriage: "You don't want to break up with someone, you don't want to end a marriage, especially if you really like the person. You just know that something's off and so you try to change everything else.
"The day I knew I had to ask for a divorce was the worst day of my life... I had no idea how to be alone."...

Shaw Media is trying to get back in the game after its so-so year, and with several new buzzworthy dramas debuting on Global TV this fall, the network has announced loudly that it is ready to play. Hard.
Global is hoping "Last Resort," the latest offering from executive producer Shawn Ryan ("The Shield"), will perform better than "The Chicago Code" did -- and hopefully Canadian Scott Speedman ("Felicity") will help. But considering how awesome "Tcc" was, yet it was still cancelled, I'm a little worried for the fate of "Last Resort."
Speaking of awesome and "The Shield," Michael Chiklis, along with Dennis Quaid, headline "Vegas," which takes place in the 1960s. The other must-see is "Elementary," a modern take on the adventures of Sherlock Holmes and Watson -- this time played by Jonny Lee Miller and Lucy Liu, respectively -- as they try and solve the NYPD's toughest cases.

Zap2it: You've had a far more glamorous life than most, but you're also a mom. So does that make you relate to other moms?
Amanda de Cadenet: I have two daughters and one son. I say all the time, "What does your body tell you? How do you feel as women?" We are mothers. We need instinct and need community. It's basic Darwinism; just contemporary society has separated us, sadly. And my goal is to bring us together and show unity with women and be nonjudgmental and be supportive, and we can only benefit.
Zap2it: You've been famous in the U.K. since you were a teenager. What has this journey been like?
Amanda de Cadenet: I did not want to be famous. Fame is not all it is cracked up to be. I always said you could not pay me enough to go back on TV.

The media is abuzz today about Miley Cyrus's appearance on "The Conversation With Amanda de Cadenet". She spoke frankly about sex for the first time, calling it "beautiful" "magical" and "cool." (Duh. Have you seen her boyfriend?)
She wasn't speaking about her own sex life, but actually discussing her movie, "Lol," which features her teenage character having frank discussions about sex with her mother (Demi Moore). Miley's point was that sex doesn't necessarily have to be a taboo subject between parents and their daughters, and that being open about it can lead to healthier attitudes.
Of course, the media has taken it in a different direction. Tuesday morning on CBS, the hosts of "The Talk" said that Miley had publicly confirmed that she and Liam Hemsworth are sexually active -- when, in fact, she'd confirmed nothing of the sort. Sure, we can infer that from her quotes, but...

Miley Cyrus, girl, we are sort of stunned at the level of self-awareness you demonstrate in your interview with Amanda de Cadenet on The Conversation last week. “[Kids] have a TV, so they know what sex is,” you explained. “So educate them and let them know that they wouldn’t be here without it, and that it’s a beautiful thing, and it is magic, and it’s when you connect with somebody. And it isn’t how much you’re worth. Your worth isn’t based on that, your worth is based on how you feel about yourself.” Impressively level-headed, dude! So we thought there might be a few other things you might want to be self-aware of, since it seems like you are on the self-discovery tip…

In case Miley Cyrus' low-cut look from Sunday's (May 20) Billboard Music Awards didn't get your attention, she's really driving home her "look at me!" message with this important tidbit: Sex is magical.
During an appearance Thursday (May 17) on Lifetime's "The Conversation With Amanda de Cadenet," the "Lol" star had sex on the brain.
"The girls that really base how much they're worth on the sexual favors they can do for somebody, that makes me really sad," Cyrus says. "Because sex is actually really beautiful. It's the only way we create, and it's the only way the world keeps going."
She adds, "So it's ignorant not to talk to your kids about it or [not] make it seem magical or cool as it actually is. [Kids] have a TV, so they know what sex is. So educate them and let them know ... it's a beautiful thing, and it is magic, and it's when you connect with somebody.

Washington, May 22: Miley Cyrus has urged young girls to meditate more and take time to discover what they really want out of life.
The pop star and actress admitted that she lost her way during a tough period in her life and started hanging out with people she thought were "cool" in a desperate bid to be just like them.
Then she found meditation and realised her best friend is herself, and she has asked other confused teenagers to follow her example and get in touch with one's innerself.
