Everyone knows that the best reality TV shows are staged and "place an emphasis on vanity, greed, promiscuity, vulgarity and over-the-top conspicuous consumption" -- hello, that's where the drama comes from.
Without those qualities reality TV would be pretty boring, but clearly the organizations behind petitions to get the Kardashian family off the airwaves don't understand that.
"In a grass roots effort, we have collected [thousands of] signatures for a petition asking E! Entertainment to remove the Kardashian suite of shows from their programming," petition organizer Cyndy Snider said in a statement to Yahoo TV. "We feel these shows are mostly staged and place and emphasis on vanity, greed, promiscuity, vulgarity and over-the-top conspicuous consumption."
Snider's petition is just one of the organized efforts to axe "Keeping Up With The Kardashians." According to Yahoo, there are also websites and Facebook pages dedicated to ending their reign as the royal family of reality TV.

It isn't exactly clear what Cyndy Snider does want from E!. What is clear is what she -- along with more than 11,000 others -- doesn't want: Kim Kardashian and her family taking up valuable time on the cable network anymore.
In a petition posted to GoPetition.com on Nov. 2, Snider asks that concerned parties join her in pushing for the end of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians," the reality show that chronicles the lives of sisters Kim, Khloe and Kourtney along with mom Kris Jenner, stepdad Bruce Jenner and half-sisters Kylie and Kendall Jenner.
"We are respectfully requesting that your network find other shows to Air," reads the petition addressed to "E! Online." "Keeping up with the Kardashians is just not viewing that we the public, would like to see from your network. Enough is enough."

New York — Kim Kardashian's lightning-quick marriage shouldn't have any impact on the E! Entertainment network's relationship with the reality TV family despite some shuffling this week, E!'s chief said on Wednesday.
E! moved up, and then moved back, a rerun of Kardashian's lavish wedding to pro basketball player Kris Humphries after Kardashian announced this week that the marriage was kaput. The network, feeling its reputation sullied, put out a statement calling rumors that it had orchestrated the wedding for TV to be "completely false."
"I don't even know if Kim has had a chance to emotionally process this the way that she needs to," said Suzanne Kolb, president of E! Entertainment. "I don't have any indication that this is going to change her career path."
Kardashian's wedding to Humphries, televised on E! to huge ratings last month, was the highlight of the 72-day marriage. The wedding took place on Aug.

Soon-to-be-divorced couple spent and earned a lot of cash during their brief marriage.

Like shooting stars, the Broadway run of "High Fidelity" (Google it) and Beastie Boys punk songs, some things just aren't meant to last that long.
As of Monday (October 31), you can add Kim Kardashian's second marriage to that list. A mere 72 days after exchanging pricey vows with New Jersey Nets forward Kris Humphries in one of the most lavishly televised nuptials since the royal wedding, Kardashian threw in the towel on Halloween, filing divorce papers and citing "irreconcilable differences."
Photos: Kim and Kris' whirlwind romance.
The filing put an end to weeks of rumors that all was not well in the Kardashian/Humphries household and, despite the NBA lockout, got us thinking about some of the gaudy numbers the pair put up together in their brief union.

If you caught the four-hour wedding spectacular celebrating the marriage of Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries, you know it was all about the drama.
"Kim's Fairytale Wedding: A Kardashian Event" was less footage of the actual wedding and more endless bickering between the bride and groom. While viewers knew the two would make it down the aisle, the producers focused on the couple fighting about everything from the big day's menu to Kim changing her last name.
Kim's sister Khloe's was vocal about her dislike for Kim's man, and made sure to speak with mother/manager Kris Jenner about the couple's prenup.
On the show we learned that the groom hadn't yet signed anything, but Kim told reporters in Dubai today that the prenup had been taken care of.
"I don't really talk finances. My father was an attorney and I'm a smart girl -- I'd like to think so...

They did—and it was spectacular. But Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries' picture-perfect nuptials didn't come without a fight (or several), thanks to the built-in drama that comes with planning a lavish wedding. The couple are happily hitched now, however, and we've got the standout moments from tonight's Kim's Fairytale Wedding: A Kardashian Event right here: 1. "We Hate Each Other": It wasn't looking good for Kim and a newly mustachioed Kris (an act of groom defiance, we get it, but ew!) two nights before they said their I-dos, when...

Reality star Kim Kardashian is gearing up for her "Kim's Fairytale Wedding: A Kardashian Event" two-part four-hour special airing on E! Sunday and Monday nights, Oct. 9 and 10. One of the ways she's promoting it is with an interview and cover with InStyle Australia.
You've lived the past few years in front of the camera, but a wedding is a very personal moment. Did you or Kris ever have any reticence when it came to filming it?
"That was a really big discussion. We took weeks to decide if we were going to film it or not, but I felt like my fans--everyone that has gone on this journey with me, seeing different relationships that I've been in--would feel cheated if I didn't film it. It was something that Kris and I were okay with, and the beauty of it is we get to edit it. It [will be] great to look back...

New York, Oct 9: Seems like NBA star Kris Humphries, who married reality star Kim Kardashian in a star-studded ceremony in August this year, is in a hurry to be a dad.
Although Kim is keen to start a family with Humphries, she had recently said that she would wait at least a year to have children.
The basketball star has, however, has hinted that he wants Kim to slow down her commitments and get on the fast track to family planning.
In a new clip from E!'s wedding special- 'Kim's Fairytale Wedding: A Kardashian Event', Humphries was seen urging his wife to settle down and 'start pumping out babies'.
"Maybe.

A sneak peek of the two-part E! special, Kim's Fairytale Wedding: A Kardashian Event, shows the newlyweds grabbing lunch and discussing the effect the paraparazzi have on their relationship. At one point, Kris Humphries tells his new wife, "Maybe you should just move to Minnesota with me. You could move into my little place on the lake, we could just start pumping out babies." My, my! Kris HUMPhries is ready to go!
In response to this romantic sentiment, Kim says, "I think the reason I fell in love with you is because you could handle my career." Ha! That's the reason she fell in love with him?
But maybe Kim's wrong, since Kris is already troubled by all the media attention that his high-profile wife attracts. He calls the paparazzi "annoying" and says that they create "distractions" that could cause problems in their relationship.

Fall is nipping at our heels and that means it’s time to set our TV schedules and calibrate our DVRs appropriately for the onslaught of shows (both old and new) invading the fall season. From retro mid-century modern stewardesses to fairytale mysteries, there are a lot of options for your viewing pleasure.
We’ve already given you our suggestions on what works and what doesn’t when it comes to the new shows, but many of those new series are cut from the same cloth as returning shows (nothing new under the sun and all that, right?) – and given the limited hours in a day, perhaps you’re confused as to whether you should replace an older show with the newer, shinier version. If so, then allows to help with our "watch this, not that" guide for you.

Another day, another video from Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries' wedding. This time, get a glimpse of their lavish reception. Wedding planner Sharon Sacks continued the black and white theme for the post-ceremony festivities. A six-layer towering wedding cake by Hansen Cakes served as the focal point in the dining room. Guests were seated at long banquet tables with black place settings and menus (see the close-up here ). The main course consisted of chicken and potatoes with brussel sprouts and truffles as sides -- all expertly prepared by celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck . Kris switched from his white Ermenegildo Zegna tux to a more traditional one for the reception, while Kim donned a form fitting (and cleavage-baring) v-neck Vera Wang gown. After dinner, the newlyweds hit the dance floor. Check out the video below (E!'s player is being a little fussy, so if it doesn't play, reload this page): E!
