It was ok

Everything about the cakes I thought was wonderful. The first thing I didn't like when I watched this show on prime was that the judges were so arrogant. They were also kind of mean. But it's not got that flair that or that nice suprise like other decorating shows. The host's puns were boring but I liked her in Sabrina the Teenage Witch so I just kept watching. I liked the themes and designs in the competition. The reason i watched it was because I thought, a cake competition show on amazon prime, COOL!. I love baking and I love pretty and cool cakes and I wasn't let down. Watch it if you have time but don't make time for it.

Mutual dislike for female judge

I love the cake decorating and the contestants, however, they need a different judge for the female. To avoid four letter words, she is absolutely terrible. She needs to realize, even Simon from American idol said nice things about people. So if you are trying to be the Simon of cake walk, get over yourself...you are a very mean soul and you make these immatures feel less than. No one was trying to flatter you either, just because they have a positive and upbeat personality, unlike your cruel self.

AWKWARD

This is the most awkward show I've ever seen! The host was incredibly boring and seemed like she didn't even want to be there. I've watched her in Sabrina the Teenage Witch and she's not awkward in that, so idk if it's because she's reading from a teleprompter. All of the judge/contestant interaction is seriously strange. I can't stand the punky girl judge. She's got such an attitude as if she's better than everyone. But all the judges are kind of weird. Everything in this show is too tense for a fun show about cakes.

Ruined by the host and judges

The only redeeming qualities of this show are the cake decorators themselves. The host is much too serious and bland. The judges are truly awful, especially the female. She is overly negative with every single contestant. The production is terrible also. The most awkward part...? When the host holds the iPad and looks down (as if she's actually reading results) before announcing the winner of each challenge.

Entertaining show with cool cakes

I think this show is pretty good overall. I like the different wedding themes and the interesting cake designs. Some cakes are really amazing. I don't mind the male judges but the woman judge is overly harsh and critical. I liked her at first but then she became too picky and condescending. And why can she never taste the chocolate? So strange. I'm not fussed on the nerve wracking 60 second cake walk, I'm always scared a cake will go flying. Give the poor designers a break. In general I like the show, it's entertaining to watch and I hope they make more.

Horrible Judging

That female judge was just awful. It was more like she was being disrespectful to the contestants. Of course the cakes aren't going to be perfect, they're only given 7 hours for a wedding cake! I hated when she told that girl that flattery wasn't going to get her anywhere...the girl was being sincere, not sucking up.

Snooty judges

At first I thought this was going to be an awesome show. I found that the judges that are bakers were rather annoying. It's as if they are so perfect in every way. Like they have golden taste buds and never make mistakes! I would not buy any of there baked goods because of their narcissism, and who knows, they probably have sucky baked goods too. They need to be more encouraging, not so snarky as if they walk on water! Reel it in, you ain't perfect.

THE WORST Cake Show Ever Made

I was actually disgusted by the judging of this show! Like, give the bakers a little slack. And the lady judge is just so ugh with her comments and expecting perfection from these bakers, WHILE putting pressure and snide comments throughout the process. And what even worse out of all of this is that the judging is WAY TO HARSH for such a CHEAP prize! Lol like I'm literally shocked how I as a baker am actually getting more angry watching this show which has NEVER happened before. I actually love David MacCarfae's work and youtube channel but was surprised at how serious he was in this show, but oh well.

Overall: Worst judging ever, NOT fun to watch, Fire the condescending lady judge (I'd much rather the MUCH MORE qualified Sylvia Weinstock instead of this bullying perfectionist judge who puts so much into her looks and cake competition winning streak), and seriously UP the prize...it's pathetic.

But then again, this show would never run for long so I'm glad that it doesn't. But yeah, this is without question THE WORST cake show I have ever seen. It was actually hard for me to sit through multiple episodes...I actually stopped watching just so I could write this review and let off some steam.

Judges Suck the Fun Out

Wow cakes are supposed to be fun and happy. The designs in this show are amazing and the fact that they are done in 7 hours makes it a given that they are not going to be perfect. The judges are too serious especially the lady judge. Wow she is horrible. I want to watch the show just for the decorators and the amazing creations but the judges have ruined it for me. Too burning and too mean. No fun and positivity. It's unfortunate.

The judges are extremely negative the whole time they are judging is like the contestants do nothing right! The woman judge always has sarcasm and yes watched two shows and was like thumbs down it's not even enjoyable to watch!
