Amazing
michaelt-0312027 October 2022
I don't know what these bad reviews are on about. I thought the emotional impact with Willows was really well done. As someone who as seen what being distant with mom can be like & how she reacts, Marg did an excellent job portraying that, I almost called my mom. I was definitely choked up at the end. I also found it cool that they got the same actress back who played Lindsay in the immortality movie back 7 years ago. Anyways I thought the acting was great with everyone, I'm also looking forward to spending more time with Penny more throughout the series. She brings quite a charm to her character.

An incredibly emotional epi and a MUST see..

Like a previous reviewer, I am also perplexed by these really bad reviews. This Episode was so emotional and compelling, throughout the WHOLE epi. It resonated and made one THINK of similar feelings as felt by Marg and the other CSIs and even makes you feel a kind of sympathy at the end for the protagonist. Also excellent acting all around. I feel like the negative reviewers are leaving the WRONG impression about this Excellent epi. I HIGHLY reccomnd this episode, Forget the Naysayers. They do not know what they are talking about. This episode is a straight up 10 stars out of 10 in my book! 10 out of 10!!

Started strong ended weak.
twonebody4 November 2022
This episode started out very strong and disturbing in the old way that CSI would. I like how Catherine guide her team through this difficult crime scene especially with Penny. The problem with the episodes for me started with Catherine's daughter seems to be taking on the same storyline like Captain Jim Brass and his daughter. Catherine's daughter is not a hooker but she seems to be a cam girl/onlyfans model with a fractured relationship between her and Catherine. I just don't like that recycle storyline. The killers revealed and reasoning was pretty underwhelming. The way how Catherine dealt with the killer at the end was so unrealistic TV melodrama nonsense.

What is happening??

Warning: Spoilers
Long time CSI fan!

This episode was the most convoluted episode in the history of CSI. I have no idea who/what the triplets were supposed to murder--or why! I have no idea what the little koalas meant for the CSI to be finding. Catherine's storyline with her daughter was just bizarre. Season 1 had the daughter, Lindsey, in Dublin with a new baby but now she's back in Vegas not being a CSI but being a ???

This one was a waste of time and effort!

While I'm on it--the new cast is pretty awful. No on screen chemistry between any of them. And I really wanted to like this reboot. All the bright lights in the lab, the diversity of the CSI team--but it falls flat.

Clueless

Warning: Spoilers
Please CSI read the reviews. This was the worst CSI episode ever. I truly was present and I have no idea why the triplets murdered the surrogate and why Catherine felt so compelled to empathize with the triplet who just murdered girlfriend/mother and family and then another sister. And I still have no ideas what the Koala bears have to do with anything.

I was excited when CSI came back and glad Catherine returned , but the writing on this reboot does not thrill me and the team just falls flat. I do like Paula Newsome and the odd young girl who joined the team, but they could get rid of the rest of them and I would not care- the British girl is annoying, and the other male characters bring nothing to the show

And the whole story line about Catherine and her hooker daughter is ridiculous. It would have been totally believable if Catherine returned because she missed doing the work without the whole insane story line about the missing girl and her being kicked out of her Board membership.

I am not giving up on this show but I do hope they get a better ensemble.

RESEARCH
stupidrullz6 December 2022
This batch of writers are No where near the knowledge base of CSI past. They need to at least ask their consultants about the science. This show was founded in the forensic science details that made the case. Each episode was actually high in potential to teach you something about the science.

(The brand of a shotgun shell is imprinted in the brass. There is NO ballistic test to match a shotgun shell to a gun or owner.)

This was just one of a few things the previous crew would have researched just a little more and absolutely not the only lacking detail in This episode.

Sure, it's just a TV show, but I rather enjoyed the fact that they use to care about the detail.

Not too bad an episode
quockquock21 October 2022
This episode wasn't too bad. That is until about 27 minutes in, that's when Paula Newsome first made an appearance. Her character is just horrible! She seems to know everything! When. Catherine Wilows goes to get a DNA swab from a baby... No can do. But Paula Newsome's character can just walk right into the nursery at the hospital and get the DNA swab. No warrant or anything, just uses her "sister" influence I guess? Then Paula spots Catherine at work and notices that something is bothering Catherine. She knows everything! It's like she's superwoman or something. Poorly written character. Her acting is atrocious as well.

Unusually bad
jimbokwright27 March 2024
This was an unusually poorly written episode with serious flaws. What idiot passed a story line where the crime lab can ballistic check a shot gun shell? The info is on the shell anyway. Really very little in this episode makes sense. What have they chosen to do to the Lindsay character? What the heck is that all about? It's poorly written and poorly acted. This show is better than this episode. Some people need to lose their jobs over this mess because it devalues the entire series. It's a suck fest that should never have aired! Send the Lindsay character off to work in Aspen or somewhere off the show. Don't ever have the child welfare Kandy on the show again either. I've seen canines that had more acting abilities. This review does not contain spoilers because this episode was already spoiled from the get go!
