Really enjoyable movie with a great message; inspiring!

I really loved this movie. While it is a documentary with an important message, it also is a compelling story of intriguing, inspiring people. And great scenery, too!

I learned a lot and have changed the way I buy chocolate. It's rather chilling to think of how much chocolate I have eaten in my life that must have been made, at least in part, through child slave labor. Not something I want to continue to support, that is for sure.

I ordered several Grenada Chocolate Company bars online - I mean, it's all very well to be impressed with the story, but if the chocolate isn't good, I can't really get excited about it. Well, the good news is: the chocolate is GREAT! Some of the best I've ever had. So now I am trying to get this chocolate into my local stores, and have been in touch with the company in an effort to help make that happen. Yes, I really was motivated by this film! And I would see it again just for the enjoyment of the story, too.

Essential movie for chocolate lovers!

I love chocolate. Any chocolate. I always try and buy ethically but when the chocolate mood is on me I am likely to grab and scoff without thinking. Until I saw 'Nothing Like Chocolate' that is... This engaging and moving film reveals a lot I didn't previously know about the practices associated with chocolate production, including the use of exploited child labour. It is far from a depressing movie however, because of the inspiring story it tells about Mott Green and the Grenada Chocolate company. Every aspect of their chocolate production is fair to the producers and good for the consumers (I've tried their chocolate - it's tremendous!) The characters in the film - the growers, the chocolate company workers, Mott himself - are delightful and bring the issues into focus in a moving and humorous way. I recommend anyone who is interested in ethical consumption and production to look at this film.

Great film!

Great film that really opened my eyes to the ethics of chocolate making and consuming.

Mott Green and the other characters in the film really bring this message home in a human and deeply moving way. To see the lives behind the making of chocolate up close personalizes our understanding of what is at stake.

I would recommend this film to anyone who enjoys chocolate and wants to buy and share it in knowledge that it has not been made under the awful conditions prevailing in much of the industry.

This is a seemingly small issue that affects us all in a big way. The ethical food revolution starts here!

exposes the ugly truth but stresses the potential for change

What I really love about the documentary is that whilst it reveals the harrowing reality of child slavery which is behind the majority of global chocolate production- and so presents a tough challenge to assumptions of chocolate being a pleasure for all- at the same time it gives an insight into the lives of inspirational individuals who are taking a proactive approach to tackling these issues. Unlike the majority of the reports on global issues that can be found today, which leave the audience feeling hopeless in the face of such overwhelming suffering, this documentary stresses both sides, yes there are terrible issues facing us, but there is also great hope in the creative and motivated individuals who take on such causes.
