Sgt. O'Brien aka Neal McDonough has honestly given the show new life.

I'll be honest, at the start of the current season I didn't have much hope for the show anymore, it didn't seem like there was any really good character relationships or storylines worth following. However, Sgt. O'Brien aka Neal McDonough being introduced to the cast as more of a "main" character if you can call it that; totally changed my mind. I was hoping the fbi agent lady would also become more of a reoccurring character in Owens life but after the end of episode 4 I am not really sure that's the direction they are going in. Either way, I am glad to be wrong on this one and still think the show is worth the watch!

Sometimes the characters deserve what happens to them. Warning: Spoilers
Does Reyes have a partner? He's a uniform cop. Where is his partner? Not even a rookie goes into a potentially dangerous situation without backup.

I understand the writers have to take some artistic license to create dramatic situations, but this series is often guilty of making professionals behave like amateurs. This isn't the first time that a character has done something so foolish, the viewer has to struggle to believe it would ever happen in a real police department or fire station. This was just the most annoying, and I hope the next episode has Reyes suspended for a couple of weeks for his behavior. That's what would happen in a real police department.
