Despite The Ending It Is Another Episode To Miss

Another so so episode. This season has really missed the mark most of the time!! We aren't even heading towards the big wedding anytime soon as Barney and Robin continue to pussyfoot around.

Plot In A Paragraph: Marshall is appearing before the state judiciary committee, the outcome of the hearing which could well determine if he remains a lawyer. It all started with his latest and most important case to date, where the outcome would determine his future at Honeywell & Cootes. The defence lawyer in the case ended up being his once friend and law school colleague Brad, who duped Marshall by believing he was in hard times, which resulted in Marshall getting Brad an interview at Honeywell & Cootes. Alone in the firm's offices, Brad then proceeded to steal Marshall's prosecuting strategy. Brad ended up having more than Marshall's strategy on his side as the case went to trial. Meanwhile, Barney, Robin, Ted and Lily each claim that they were the most bad ass between the four when each was a teenager. And after Robin and Barney's passionate kiss, they, unspoken, have both decided to treat the incident like it never happened.

Warning: Spoilers
I did like this episode. One of the things I always liked about Marshall is him caring about environment, so it was nice to see an episode about his trial. It is pretty funny with how Brad was trying to get the jury on his side. Besides that Marshall is being as lovable as he always is. And the end of the trial is pretty smart. While he wins it, the money is too small because people don't care much for environment...And it also gives one to look forward to whether he will become a judge.

We have also some fun parts of the rest of the group trying to figure out who was a badass as a teenager. And we have a nice moment of Robin and Barney as well. Kind of hope they will just start dating soon and not just go back and forward.

A great court room drama. He should have said you can't handle the truth

Definitely one of the worst episodes of HIMYM that I've ever watched, and this is coming from someone who has watched every episode. Between the courtroom scenes and the general cheesiness of the entire episode, it really seems like filler content. I've been generally supportive of this season's content but this really just seems out of place. I'm not sure what the directors were hoping to achieve, but I'm hopeful that the rest of the episodes don't stink as bad as this one did. On the bright side, for the ladies Brad is well... Brad.

I can now somewhat understand Jason Seagel's frustration with the show and the possibility that he will not be returning seems to make sense if the rest of S8 is as bad as this. Hopefully it won't be.
