Be safe...Yes, the real Hope Valley is back!

Warning: Spoilers
Wow, so much about this episode that was just...good. The real Hope Valley is back, and wow, I am ecstatic. I enjoyed every minute, even more than I thought I would. Reminiscent of early seasons, but even better. Kudos to the new Show Runner, Lindsay Sturman, and the writers for bringing back the heart and the hope to Hope Valley.

Okay, a few highlights: I liked seeing Lucas and Nathan work together. (But did Elizabeth look worried when they said that Nathan would be at the Governor's side?). Mei and Mike Hickam are adorable together - give us more, please. Rosemary and Lee are once again "couples goals", thank you for that!

Dear costuming: Just have to give you a well-deserved shout out. All the dresses were amazing. (Special mentions to Fiona, Minnie, Elizabeth, and Florence, Just. Wow!) And the way Elizabeth loans out so many, like a "remembrance" of sweet moments in the show, over the years, when she wore them. Such a great idea, thank you, wardrobe!

Great medal ceremony, thank you for finally giving some recognition to our selfless, humble, noble Mountie. I loved the way Elizabeth sought him out before hand, saw him and his little struggle, and offered such great advice. And then she's the friendly face he seeks out, once he's up there on stage. Wow, so poignant! He speaks right to her. How did she stay on her feet? Lol. And, what a speech it was. So touching and just right, so Nathan. Loved every word.

Quote of the Episode: Elizabeth's "Be safe". Just one question: is "be safe" the new "I'm in love with you"? Because she totally is. Will she realize it?

Yes, the wrong dress is definitely a sign that something is not right with this upcoming wedding. Yes. She made the wrong choice. Will she realize in time?

And wow, that moment when Nathan sees her in said "wrong dress". He doesn't even care that she looks like a "meringue". Lol. Oh, that a man would look at me like that.

Chris McNally was incredible this episode. I didn't believe for a minute that Lucas was teaming up with the governor, I knew he was playing them, even if he is a great bluffer. But, the writers have given us enough of a redemptive arc for him this season (one that makes sense and happens onscreen) that we know he is now one of the "good guys". (Thank you, writers, for that! Finally! You have shown us that he is a good guy instead of just telling us.) He has become the "hero behind the scenes" that we can get behind. And wow, that speech. So courageous and just selfless. I hope he gets the recognition he deserves for putting himself out there, on the front line of this fight, and standing up for what's right.

Even if I still don't think Lucas and Elizabeth belong together, I am truly coming to appreciate Lucas as a character, and I can't wait to see what's next for him. It's evident that this couple's paths are diverging, but I am totally onboard for that "larger stage" for him!

The "Heart" is Back in the Valley
ele1172 October 2023
Warning: Spoilers
An amazing episode! Paul Redford, the writer of this episode, absolutely did the show justice! The "heart" of Hope Valley is back. Lucas's heroic journey to save the town is selfless and this role is the perfect compliment to Chris McNally's talent as an actor. Kevin McGarry and Erin Krakow are bringing us emotionally impactful scenes between Nathan and Elizabeth. I cried tears of joy and happiness during this episode. The community feel was back and everyone is doing what they can to pitch in for the town. I cannot compliment this episode (and season 10) enough!

Bravo Team Hope Valley! Looking forward to the last two episodes of the season and most definitely waiting with baited breath Season 11!

WCTH big disappointment
ltpm319 October 2023
I was very disappointed in season 10, after waiting 15 months to see the first episode and as it went on it got more boring and dead. Stars walking about town looking like the Walking Dead (Molly). The more the season went on the more Rosemary controlled both Elizabeths mind and speech. This didn't even happen in the very beginning of the story back in 2014. Elizabeth was a real imbicile by the end of the season and why she took off like crazy when Bill said he needed them because of Lucas was a slap in all of our faces. This was my last viewing of WCTH unless Elizabeth wakes up and finds Lucas in the shower. Elizabeth lost it when she thought he was going to propose and didn't, then when he did everything was great. He put his life on hold because of her and her wants only to be slapped in the face in the end. She talks him into running for Govenor to save the town she loves with a promise to stand by him only to dump him in the last minute at the train station. I had a bad feeling when they brought in this showrunner LS. She has managed to have every program that she has worked on cancelled within a matter of 2 years. Since she has been in Hope Vally a year already l guess they only a matter of months. Then her and Brian Bird get in an interview and say how much better off Lucas will be. The man only wanted to settle down with the woman he loved in the town he loved. They blew that to H.

Worst season of all
mlouw-247125 November 2023
This season was disjointed, had no continuity with the previous nine years writing was awful characters were totally out of character. This new show runner Lindsay Sturman is the worst I can understand why she never has a job more than two years before the show gets canceled. Looks like she's heading the same way with the show. She has come in and tried to destroy show canon of the previous five seasons. Why hallmark decided to hire her is beyond me. Her reputation is horrible and she's known as the show killer Brian Byrd should be ashamed of himself for allowing this to happen. The writers of the show should be ashamed of themselves for allowing this to happen. The vast majority of the fan base is angry, and many will not be returning. The show has lost all credibility and its main character has been totally destroyed. Horrible total garbage I do not recommend. There are so many other shows out there that are so much better than this.
