Utter garbage

Warning: Spoilers
I recently had the unfortunate opportunity to witness a comedy performance by Matt Rife, and it was nothing short of excruciating. From the moment he stepped on stage to the agonizing end of his set, it became abundantly clear that Rife's comedic skills were severely lacking.

Rife's delivery was devoid of any originality or wit. His jokes were stale, recycled, and lacked any semblance of cleverness. It felt as though he had plucked jokes from a decades-old joke book and failed to inject any life into them. The punchlines fell flat, met with nothing but awkward silence from the audience.

The timing of his jokes was utterly atrocious. Rife seemed oblivious to the art of comedic timing, often rushing through punchlines or pausing at awkward moments that left everyone in the room cringing. It was as if he had no understanding of the ebb and flow required to elicit laughter from a crowd.

Furthermore, Rife's material was shockingly unoriginal. He relied heavily on tired stereotypes, offensive remarks, and cheap, juvenile humor. His attempts at shock value were not only distasteful but also displayed a complete lack of creativity. It felt like he was trying desperately to provoke a reaction without any regard for genuine comedic substance.

Beyond his lackluster performance, Rife's stage presence was abysmal. He appeared disinterested and disconnected from the audience, creating an uncomfortable and awkward atmosphere. It was clear that he lacked the charisma and confidence necessary to engage with the crowd and build a rapport.

In conclusion, Matt Rife's comedy act was a painful experience that left me questioning how he has managed to sustain a career in the industry. His lack of originality, poor delivery, offensive material, and overall lackluster performance were all contributing factors to an evening of disappointment. I would strongly advise anyone seeking an enjoyable comedy experience to steer clear of Matt Rife and opt for a comedian who actually understands the art of comedy.

My cat is funnier

Easy jokes heard hundreds of time elsewhere, self-satisfied vulgarity, no sense of rythm... A wonder that Rife says to have "written" and "polished" that thing during ten years. If you want to spend an evening with a college boy, who thinks that using the same smile (he has two facial expressions tops) and flexing his biceps is the most advanced form of humor, go for it ! For people with a brain and a judgement not shadowed by hormonal factor, ask yourself if you want to devote time to a self-centered guy laughing to his own college-level jokes. Clearly there are real authors , with far better sense of the scene, well, all over the place, and they don't need to get a subscription to gym to have success...

Trash

I have seen his crowd work and he can be slightly amusing at times. I was not expecting much since I have seen him degrade ADA, elderly, and women, etc. However, I thought I would give his special a try since I could not find anything I wanted to watch. This was so disappointing. I will admit I could not get past the first five minutes.

I do not want to give anything away so watch the first five minutes and see for yourself that this is just trash. He sounds like a pick me trying to get the cool boys to like him. There was so much misogyny in the first few minutes you can see for yourself how gross he really is.

Do you really think in this day and age you can joke about things so sensitive? Do better Netflix.
