Bear's journey
swede730430 November 2023
Felt I had to write a review to balance out the one negative review on this episode. The episode deals with Bear meeting someone else who is another guide to him on his journey, in the excellent Graham Greene. Greene's portrayal is moving and so full of depth, even in a series that has had some very touching portrayals. In a way it reminds me of the episode with Willy Jack and her dad, just taking a breather and letting the characters grow.

The episode does have a few really good laughs, as always, but it's the emotional heft of it that makes the show what it is. One of the best episodes in my opinion, to which you're allowed to disagree, but this is exactly why I love this show so much.

Best Res Dogs Episode

I usually have trouble watching the character of Bear in this show. He's my least favorite character, and D'Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai is the weakest actor in my opinion.

Nevertheless, I loved this episode despite it being very Bear-centric. I enjoyed Woon-A-Tai's performance here, playing somewhat of a caregiver to Graham Greene's Maximus.

Greene is phenomenal as always. His performance ranks among his most compelling to date. He's what makes this episode great. I love the two of them creating a bit of an odd couple dynamic.

The episode is a bit of a mystery thriller, with layers being peeled back as it unfolds. I've seen every episode of this show, and this one's my favorite.

Waste of an episode

Warning: Spoilers
Kinda boring episode overall. The creepy dude with the now hawk was intriguing but he didn't add anything to the story. The view of the Milky Way was cool since they were in dark sky country. Overall, great tv show, but this episode was a waste of an episode slot. It did nothing to move the story along.

If you have noticed, I'm starting to ramble at this point because I have to submit a minimum amount of words for a review to be published. So i'm rambling at this point because I have to submit a minimum amount of words for a review to be published on here and I'm almost at the minimum amount and NOW I AM!
