Heads and shoulders above the first two episodes of the season.

Warning: Spoilers
Not perfect, but felt a little more true to form than most AJLT episodes. This episode felt well balanced, equal parts sentimental and funny.

Carrie's plotline is interesting and SJP continues to shine with any material she's given. Her lying to everyone saying she has covid so that she can avoid doing something which might cause her pain is quintessential Carrie.

The LTW/Charlotte story was simple and silly but garnered actual laugh out loud moments.

Seema is a natural-born scene stealer and she had some of the best moments of the episode. With her, they've managed to recreate at least some of the missing Samantha energy without being too on the nose about it. Her rapport with Carrie is fantastic.

Nya wasn't present much, but her storyline seems promising. Wish we'd gotten to see just a bit more.

And Miranda and Che ... well, it wasn't the worst. I don't find there to be much chemistry between the two, but they're rounding out Che's character a bit more and we're exploring new layers in the relationship. Miranda is acting completely out of character, and while that may be the point, it's not particularly fun or interesting to watch.

It hasn't exactly found its footing, but there was a certain rythm to this episode that felt good for once. The story beats didn't feel as random. One of the few episodes I would watch again.

Zsa Zsa Eww.

Warning: Spoilers
The title refers to Che's behaviour.

The best part of this episode was seeing Bitsy Von Muffling and what a delight she was. Ahh we miss you too Bobby.

Although this is a much better episode than previous ones, especially with Carrie and her book audio recording but why oh why did the recording people keep interrupting her? So annoying.

Could someone please enlighten me as to what Miranda sees in Che? All I see is a selfish, arrogant, unfunny and uncaring person. Why does Miranda keep accepting her rudeness and sucking back up to her as if it's her fault? Also I must be missing something as to why they would be capturing and recording Che's life on film. Is she supposedly famous somewhere in La La Land? Tony Danza must have been desperate to go anywhere near this charade.

I do like Seema and she does slightly fill in Samantha's shoes (only a tad) so that's a plus and a pleasure to watch Sarita's acting.

The big question is - where's Steve? I would hate to see another favourite male character written out, so I do hope we see him again. They better not kill him off!!

Wow. Great episode. Finally Warning: Spoilers
Wow. And just like that, finally a great episode. The best so far. It's moving (especially the book reading scenes), it's funny (the scenes at school), well written and acted. I wasn't expecting it, but this is almost old school Sex And The City. It doesn't feel forced. And Sarah Jessica Parker is really good in this episode. Great, Emmy worth performance. And I even liked Che in this episode. This episode is really everything And Just Like That should be. Can't wait to have Miranda back in New York City with the rest of the girls! Looking forward to the rest of season 2 of And Just Like That.

The Reason We Keep Watching
fayandray29 June 2023
I haven't rated or reviewed SATC. I haven't even rated or reviewed this show's main page. But, I'm rating and reviewing this episode because it is *that* good.

TBH, I've been watching this show out of nostalgia. I haven't been looking forward to new episodes, mostly because I have found all previous episodes to be near-cartoonish and forced in story, directing and acting. Finally, we have an episode that returns to form with heart and honesty. Finally, there is a story that brings about great chemistry between the new characters and original characters.

This episode was written in such a way that the story felt natural instead of contrived. If it continues, I will be looking for it every Thursday. Fingers crossed!

Finally, the original writers are back
rcgjfny30 June 2023
This was the best episode out of all the And Just Like That series. It was funny, wholesome and touching at the same time. Entertaining from start to finish, after two very boring episodes.

Why was the improvement? Because it wasn't written by Michael Patrick King, but the two amazing writers from the original show. I hope the producers will realise this too and they will make changes. The show can still be as great as it used to be given it has the right writes. This episode proves that point. If they want to continue this show, the writing must be the best, otherwise it's just a big failure.

Why is Miranda stupid now?
cindyrellaexists30 June 2023
They all talk so slow and if they have to hold oral retainers in their mouths and WHY HAVE THEY MADE MIRANDA SO INCREDIBLY STUPID?

I absolutely can't stand how weak and yet narcissistic they have made Miranda.

Carrie is predictably fragile .....so whatever.

Charlotte is just dwelling in that lame mommy circle and it's just so over done.

This series is very disappointing. The core girls are just so annoying so thank god for the three new ones.

A stolen Birkin bag was anticlimactic.

The stolen jewelry scene fell flat. How much more nonsense can this show display.

I want my hour back. I've tried but it's just such a yawn fest.

Possibly the best one so far
mariolemes29 June 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I'm a bit suspicious because unlikely most of the SATC fans, I enjoyed all episodes of AJLT. But this one is really special, even the balance between the main characters and the side ones (Seema and LTW are precious here).

I also love how there are some liiitle easter eggs regarding the original series (like when Miranda says she had never heard Brady crying before, and we know she did, lol). BTW, Miranda back to New York City and leaving Che behind is promising.

The "and just like that..." final phrase of this episode is my favorite so far. Carrie been sassy and ironic with the audience as we love.

And just like that..... I'm done!

Warning: Spoilers
Wow. This is what we're doing now? Begging loyal SATC fans to swallow this drivel? Writing sucks. The acting is subpar. Disappointed 100%. I think the ladies of SATC have been done a real disservice to the SATC franchise. I wanted very badly to love this reboot/reimagined life for these characters but this is just pathetic. Way to much, over the top LGBTQ+ action and when a group of adult women are standing around sexualizing a child in high school, I think it's gone a little bit too far. I don't need to see Miranda having sex with her non binary love interest. It's necessary to add flavor to the plot. We get it .... Miranda is gay. Great, wow, who cares. Show is leaving nothing to imagination.... At all. Reminds me of the L Word. SMH.

OMG This was actually amazing!
silasandersen-3071129 June 2023
Wow. That's all. Wow. I can feel that "And Just Like That" is going back to its "Sex And The City" roots. A blast. The plot was amazing, and the emotions this episode was also out of the world. Sarah Jessica Parker is coming back to the "Real" Carrie. Truly she will get a Emmy nomination from this. I'm still on the fence about Che - I mean she is great and the character development we have gotten on her is good, but I feel like we need more, to truly understand and love her. "And Just Like That" has truly makes their stamp in this world - just like "Sex And The City" did. Not the only thing missing is Samantha.

Finally some good writing
cookiealexd1 July 2023
The writers,Julie Rottenberg & Elisa Zuritsky have been credited in two episodes in season 1. However the addition of Michael Patrick King for those episodes seems to have been a hinderance because THIS episode is the first good one of the entire series. Laugh out loud funny, emotional and well-formatted. It also is the first episode to blend everyone together cohesively instead of using the new characters as forced, one dimensional diversity on the side props. Only drawback is the adults' sexual objectification of a minor which seems to be all the rage these days though. I hope the duo are allowed to write more but I do fear MPK et al will bring the tone down yet again with typically bad scripts we have been subjected to prior. I had to write a review because these women really showed how to do this series well. Bravo.

Felt like SATC again
spineapplejuice7 July 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This episode just felt like Sex and the City again. The tone, the NYC celebrating (the good and the bad), and how the writer's really dug deep with Carrie's experience. After watching episodes of SATC over and over again, I didn't feel the need to rewatch any specific episodes of And Just Like That until this episode. I also loved how SJP portrayed Carrie reliving Big's untimely death. I felt like we were so close to her, really grasping her pain. This episode reminded me of The Real Me... very full circle and ending with optimism and hope, but not all wrapped up in a bow. I can't wait to see what happens next for Carrie. Also, I need to know all the filming locations of the restaurants and go immediately... for the $24 gazpacho!

WHYYY do producers insist in bad wardrove!!???
MidoriAi7 August 2023
Warning: Spoilers
WHYYY do producers insist in bad wardrove!!???

The neighbor is RIDICULOUSLY dressed.

The first book of Carrie B. Was ok because it was a collection of her columns.. but book after book.. I don't buy it. I mean.. she's dumb and shallow, I don't believe she's intelligent enough to write a book and be a best seller or even be able to be published.

Regardless, the recording time was emotional.

I like that an old character was here, Bitsy. Why not more of those instead of the new diversity genderless ethnic variety they want us down our throats? They were fun.

Bitsy's part was good and meaningful, the result classic SATC.

Miranda, on the other hand, episode after episode looks less than her and more like a pitiful character, a shell of what she was, and it is funny because with that hair so short and those wrinkles she looks like a turtle.

I get the Milo scene. It was fun and it is relatable. Come on!

The parrot/clown/butch woman dressed like a 60 year old men screaming "they they they they!!!" No. Che is a WOMAN. They is a plural. Screaming it is not going to be less true.

Lisette jewelry was so ugly looking that reminds me of those cheap sets to put together for kids.

Miranda's part on Che's set. We all knew it was coming, weren't we? Another stupid decision from the writer's part to create cheap drama. And where is Steve??!! How is Miranda paying for her expenses? Did she had an empty house on NY just waiting for her?

Days passed and Seema found her bag on some bushes for everyone to see? I don't believe it. Another unbelievable drama. I would have written a better turn out for this.

And Carrie got "covid" don't make me laugh.

And as this episode ended... I remember the last episode from season 1 ended: Carrie was going to meet Samantha in London. What happened with that??

I'm binge watching this while I'm doing arts and crafts, so I don't have to be bored, so I don't remember if there was some raunchy ugly sex like last episode or so many side characters nobody cares, only elf face Michael Patrick King.
