Actually it is reading the lines ... which will confuse you. So no pun intended. Now watching this did require to speak German, but also understand English. Why do I say that? Because the written text does not match what our main character is saying during the run time of the (short) movie.
I would not call myself the biggest fan of the actress who plays the major role here. But she is more than fitting for this one for sure. Her voice over leads us through her journey ... and her "struggle". The subtitles suggest there are more layers to be discovered ... if you care or not .. well that is up to you the viewer ... you decide if this is as clever as it thinks it is .. or just annoys you .. an interesting concept for sure ... and not to everyones liking for sure.
