One of the consequences of the BBC’s decision to start up their own streaming service (how dare they) is that a lot of their shows will soon be departing from their competitors.
Britbox, in partnership with ITV, launched in the UK last November, and now the content available elsewhere has started to catch up. Today we’re going to run through the wealth of titles that’ll exit Netflix UK at the end of March. There’s a lot to run down, too. And yes, this is redundant for American readers. You’re more than welcome to stay for tea, though (which is more than just a cultural stereotype).
First up – and probably of most interest – are the BBC comedies leaving on March 30th:
A Bit of Fry and Laurie (4 Seasons) Absolutely Fabulous (6 Seasons) Almost Royal (2 Seasons) Daniel Deronda (1 Season) Extras (2 Seasons) Fawlty Towers (2 Seasons) French and Saunders (6 Seasons...

ITV has bought Big Talk - the production company behind Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz.
The broadcaster acquired 100% of the firm, which also makes Channel 4's Friday Night Dinner and ITV's The Job Lot, for an initial payment of £12.5 million.
Additional payments will be made based on Big Talk's financial performance over the next five years.
ITV said the acquisition is an "important step forward" in its strategy of building a strong international content business.
In the past year, ITV has bought Graham Norton's So Television and 24 Hours in A&E producer The Garden, as well as several Us-based production companies.
Big Talk Productions was founded in 1995 by Nira Park, who holds a joint 65% stake with chief executive Kenton Allen. Simon Pegg, Nick Frost and director Edgar Wright will each receive just over £150,000 from the sale as part of a group of investors that owns 10%.

The World's End and Rev producer Big Talk has been bought by ITV for an initial £12.5m in cash, a figure that could rise to £30m depending on the company hitting performance-related earn-out targets over five years.
Big Talk, which was founded in 1995, is 65% owned by Nira Park, Kenton Allen and Matthew Justice.
About 10% of the company is owned by minority shareholders including Simon Pegg and his The World's End, Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead and Spaced collaborators Nick Frost and Edgar Wright.
