Again a Remake of The Body
shounak932523 December 2023
Another attempt of remaking Spanish movie The Body after the hindi remake of same name. But this short & songless Bengali movie is much better than the unbearable hindi one which even stalwarts like Rishi Kapoor (Ranjit Mallick) & Emraan Hashmi (Ritwick Chakraborty) couldn't save. The songs added to the headache. The Bengali one works as it doesn't try anything flashy. Songs are really unnecessary in a murder mystery & the director Haranath Chakraborty understood that. Another masterstroke was turning the character of Sobhita Dhulipala (Parno Mitra) into a positive one. Haranath Chakraborty is really doing well since Baghbandi Khela. Ranjit Mallick is too natural as an actor who overshadows ritwick's repetitive acting in every character he plays.

Ranjit Mallick and Harnath Chakraborty should retire with their dignity intact

Bengali movies are in crisis. The number of audiances are decreasing day by day. People like Ranjith Mallick and Harnath Chakraborty are taking Bengali cinema further back.

The storyline is not too bad but Harnath Chakraborty as a director has completely failed to use the script. The beautiful thriller has served him in a very simple way. BGM like the movie is also very simple. BGM has no way to understand whether it is thriller movie or drama base movie.

Hrithik chakraborty and porno performance tried to pull the movie up , but Ranjit Mallik pulled the movie backward with his Daysara gocher performance. Ranjit Mallick was not suitable as a police in any way. Neither physique nor age went with his character.

One request to Hrithik chakraborty and Parno mitra please don't work with ranjit mallik and harnath chakraborty again. Yours good acting covers up for their bad deeds.

Ranjit Mallick and Harnath Chakraborty should retire with their dignity intact.

Good Movie but needs lots of improvements
saprativdas-4946023 October 2023
The movie I watched was undoubtedly a positive addition to Bengali cinema and outshone many of its counterparts. It exhibited both strengths and weaknesses that I'd like to delve into further:

The Positives:

1. Engaging Storyline: The foundation of any great film is a compelling story, and this movie managed to deliver just that. The narrative, although good, does leave room for improvement. While it engaged the audience, there is potential for more depth, complexity, and perhaps unexpected twists to take the story to the next level. This is an area that, with some tweaks, could lead to an even more memorable cinematic experience.

2. Scenic Locations: One undeniable positive aspect of the film is the stunning choice of locations. The scenic backdrops provided a visual treat for the audience, enhancing the overall viewing experience. The filmmakers deserve credit for their exceptional selection, as it added depth and authenticity to the storytelling.

The Negatives:

1. Inconsistent Acting: The cast of a film plays a pivotal role in bringing the story to life, and it's unfortunate to hear that, except for one or two actors, the performances were less than stellar. It's essential for the success of Bengali cinema to have a cast that can fully immerse the audience in the story. To improve the industry's standing, there should be a focus on delivering outstanding performances across the board. Perhaps casting choices and acting training could be areas to explore for improvement.

2. Execution Concerns: Execution is a critical aspect of any film's success. While the movie had many positive attributes, there were concerns regarding execution. To elevate the film to a higher standard, addressing these issues should be a priority. This could involve refining the direction, editing, and overall production quality. Attention to detail in execution can make a significant difference in the audience's perception of the film.

In summary, my experience with this Bengali film left me in a somewhat neutral position. I neither left the theater ecstatic nor deeply disappointed. However, it's important to highlight that Bengali cinema, like any other film industry, must continue to evolve and improve to thrive in a competitive global landscape. While the movie showcased some positive aspects, it also exposed areas where growth and enhancement are needed. Bengali films have the potential to shine on a larger stage, but this requires collective effort in refining storytelling, acting, execution, and overall production quality. As an audience member who appreciates cinema, I look forward to witnessing the industry's growth and success as it continues to evolve and captivate audiences worldwide.
