Great cast and story

Warning: Spoilers
I didn't know the cast but was pleasantly surprised by the two lead roles. The French guy was very good too :)

I really enjoyed this film but my brother a bit less so, 6/10 is a mix between my opinion and his. He prefers Avenger movies, and this is... not a superheros film obviously.

But it's charming, witty and the story is actually quite good, so give it a try :)

27 Minutes

I managed to stick it for 27 minutes then had to turn it off. Slow, cliched screenplay. The lead actor had an incredibly boring voice. Maybe intentionally, as he is supposed to be a bore. In that case he was very successful. Jokes about Modern Art need to have a bit more to them than "isn't Modern Art silly". I suspect the french lady might enliven it somewhat but I didn't stick around long enough to find out.

Cute romantic comedy

I watched this on Valentines, it was the perfect film to chill and enjoy.

To be honest I think this works best for women, as it's tender and warm, with lead characters who are honest and relatable, and not the usual depressing junkies or whatever people like these days.

Art Ache is fun and cute, love the music too!

Feel good indie movie!
fionagallagher-032207 February 2022
Alex is a shy British accountant bored with his office job in London.

Sounds like your life..?

Penelope is a lovely French artist, and our British Alex wants to make himself relatable by pretending to be an artist too.

He will quickly be pulled into an arts contest that will challenge his real identity as an artist.

It's a lovely and fun little movie that mixes British and French accents, really sweet and original.

I didn't know what to expect as there are no famous actors, but even though this is not a studio movie it really worked for me, great cast and music, recommended!

Heart warming chick flick
johannadeburgh7 March 2022
This is your happy girl film, "Alex" (David Wayman) is the guy you want to date in real life, and the whole story is at the same time whimsical, and feels genuine.

Quite a bit of sarcasm here about the Arts world, chuckle guaranteed.

Probably better for the ladies, or for men with a kind heart.

QUITE ENTERTAINING
grahamvr27 July 2022
First of all I really can't understand why one reviewer said the lead actor, Alex, had a really boring voice. In my opinion he was very clear, I understood every word which he spoke which is unusual in many movies today. He was a very well spoken English actor.

Adding to what I have already said the character being played by David Wyman was quite strange. I feel it was made this way because of the direction he received. This was the Director's first feature film and hopefully from this he will have gone on to much better productions.

It's quite a silly film but is entertaining. I am looking forward to seeing David Wyman in future films as he grows and develops.
