You'll need sea-legs to watch this one

OK, so I didn't actually get too far into this film since I hadn't been warned in advance to take a heavy dose of Dramamine. The person handling the camera was probably the least experienced of the crew (or really misdirected) and the results, for me, made it absolutely unwatchable.

As a setup for a "ghost" film it wasn't the best; it was shot way too "bright". Opens with a romp across the fields and into the woods by two young, good looking guys in period costumes shot, at times, by a very, very shaky camera.

Promising enough concept, but poorly executed.

But you'll have to decide yourself whether it's worth the discomfort.

Nice Period Piece

I have to admit that I wasn't sure as to what I was watching. I never read the synopsis first. I like to be surprised. We start out in a beautiful field with our two leads, obviously very much in love and free. We can tell by the costuming that this isn't modern day. It turns out to be in the early 1800's, although it isn't relevant to the story. What follows is a peek into a very romantic love story. No action, very low key, but enthralling nonetheless. Albeit, with a supernatural twist, described as a "ghost story".

It's nice to see a gay film where the obstacle isn't any type of homophobic lunatic, or a person or couple struggling with self-loathing. Just a beautiful couple in "anytime" and "anyplace" faced by a darkness of the supernatural type. I won't go into the supernatural element and give the plot away. I'll just say that it literally had me sitting on the edge of my seat! The film was done on a low-budget, but I don't believe the film makes it evident. It's very lush with a beautiful soundtrack. It's a very small, but excellent cast. The two leads have amazing chemistry and are easy to watch. There are sex scenes, but done in good taste. It feels romantic and real. Not something concocted between actors that is supposed to look real, while you know the actors are choreographed to the hilt. The two leads, Darren Bransford and Henry Regan are very easy-on-the-eyes. Bransford playing the handsome, good-looking, and rugged Frank, and Regan playing the adorable, handsome Theo.

If you want a fast-paced film with lots of story, then this probably isn't your cup of tea. However, if you like to just lay back and watch an enjoyable slice of life from another perspective. If you want to see two handsome, masculine men who are totally in love with and support each other--with a slight supernatural twist chasing them, then should be a great film for you! I highly recommend it!

not bad

Yes, many cliches. But great air of freedom. Yes, not the most inspired use of camera but good actors, fair atmosphere, old fashion romanticism, not provocative sex scenes and a slow story , special for the right dose of poetry and delicate perspective about a powerful connection. Short, just a good work, sure, not for large public but useful demonstration of the virtues of low budget film when the story has the delicate grace of inspiration.

An Excellent Piece of Modern Day Art (2spoop3me)

Warning: Spoilers
Let's just say the production quality was pretty bad but the plot line and homo moments were top notch. Character development was pretty good, but who was that Albert guy? Ending was quite beautiful and metaphoric. Spoop moments 11/10, that devil stuff was freaky. Pretty good costume design, nice job not placing a brand on that beer. Sex was good. Enough said.

An incredibly beautiful love story
rightmarc5 June 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Theo and Frank are in love. Can it last? Can they put aside the Ghosts from their pasts that haunt them? Can they trust that this love will last...that they will not be abandoned? There is so much to overcome, so much effort and hard work, in building a truly trusting, loving relationship. Is it worth it? Can you be 'reborn' in such a relationship. If you are a romantic, do not let this one pass you by.
