It's nice to relax with intelligent conversations that really reveal the personalities and craft of the guests.
VT provides a calm and pleasant hand at the tiller, seemingly putting the guests at ease.
A real pleasure and some in-depth revelations. The invited talking heads contributing their views are also a nice touch. The programs as they are would work well as audio-only, but the camera work is also excellent.
In my opinion, there were only two things which detracted in every episode, and were quite unnecessary anyway. The producer/director should drop the contrivances of the 'first meeting' setups (the one with Marta on the beach was particularly painful). The same goes for VT's long pensive walks looking into the middle distance ... such a cliche. By contrast the opening setup phone call is a nice/different approach to an impending interview.
