nice

Nice is not the most inspired term but the film represents exactly a nice try. And the only problem is the effort of director to give more. Two young guy, teenager competitions, a night and few fists of cliches. The erotism saves it because the story is absent. Sure, it is not exactly a bad film but only , for too subjectives motives, only nice. Without story, almost without actors.

a gay Asian's fantasy

2 for selecting some eye-candy...but that's as far as this goes. I understand this was very clearly low-budget, but this goes beyond "self-indulgent". The premise is essentially that "white guy" is surprised that "Asian boy" is a three-dimensional person (i.e. also wants to be a top). But the writer doesn't realize that he is actually perpetuating clichés by trying to break them. First, who CARES who is the bottom as long as they are having fun (why the bottom shaming at all)? Second, "white guy" is supposedly a doctor, yet talks like trailer-trash and has no concept of multi-culturalism (maybe in Nebraska...but not in Hillcrest/San Diego). Third, we get that this film is preaching to all the "Tate"s out there in the world...but it could have been done without hitting us over the head with a hammer. Try a little subtlety, Hieu. And get guys who can actually act if you are going to make a film....it really helps.
