Crossing the Border
Hitchcoc1 April 2021
While the Doc's efforts to help a friend find closure for his daughter, the dangers of going into Mexico where the cartels are in charge is pretty foolhardy. Nick is lucky to be alive because he and his macho thing are not much protection against a hight powered rifle. Also, there is a lot of resistance to their being in Mexico at all--a question of disrespect.

The Las Vegas' Monster
claudio_carvalho16 December 2023
Dr. Robbins is attending the wake of Ana Ortiz, the daughter of his friend Gabriel. He asks Dr. Robbins to go to Arquero, Mexico, to perform the autopsy of his daughter since the coroner has not released her body to come to Las Vegas and believes she died of OD. However, Ana did not use drugs. Dr. Robbins travels with Nick and has the support of the Mexican Federal Agent Javier Silva. Soon they find that the town is dominated by the Cartel. The coroner Dr. Rafael Blanco does not welcome them and is indeed unhappy to see them in his morgue. Soon they learn that Ana's body was found near four dead bodies from a massacre of the Cartel, and Nick asks Javier to investigate the crime scene. Meanwhile, Sara and Greg investigate the murder of a couple killed with gunshots to their heads and embedded in concrete in the garage of a house. Soon they find that both killings are related and done in Las Vegas.

"De Los Muertos" is an episode of "CSI" with a prejudicial view of Mexico. Maybe the life in Arquero is different but at least in Veracruz, the life seems to be normal. At least after all the investigation they find the crime was committed in Las Vegas. My vote is eight.

Second lame episode in a row
koohii21 April 2021
For some reason, Stokes decides to play up the ugly American stereotype, claiming to understand the situation, but still being overbearing and trying to throw his weight around. That makes the biggest stretch to credibility of the episode that he and the doctor manage to make it out alive. Jimmy Smits plays a total, over-the-top, drama queen.

This is not a good episode. Hopefully they get better soon.

Pretty awful

Warning: Spoilers
Seriously does nick not know ANYTHING about Mexico? He sure talked a lot of smack for being in the middle of cartel country, where the local police are almost as bad... Just 100 percent unbelievable. They would slit his throat and leave him for dead. And dare more Americans to come down..... At least the concrete couple was a little interesting..I'm not sure why I need 600 characters to write this review. Have left many a review shorter than this.
