This is a case of some spoiled movie people committing an act that puts in motion a psychotic charismatic's efforts to get revenge. A really popular female actress is caught up in this, but she doesn't give enough information to put a stop to it. She is so guilt ridden that she tries to buy her away out of her guilt. Meanwhile, a nut case and his followers have no interest in remuneration. He has no interest in his followers and has sort of a Jesus complex. Dorn is a close friend of this actress and intervenes, one of the few times we see him use bad judgment. Hickman calls his cohort in New York and she travels to Europe to assist in the case because an American film director was one of the victims, resulting in a high profile case.
