Act 1: The long ride
Josh is a sad character that was the best choice to be the chaperone of the 3 boys and also Percy who joins the gang in this episode. The first act of the episode has a definitely true flashback and then we get into the car ride segment which has some hilarious interactions between Josh and the kids. The car perishes and then Sumo disappears for the rest of the episode. It was a good choice to write him out because if he was along for the ride, he would have the knowledge needed to get home and the episode would be over.
Act 2: survival Clarence, Jeff, Percy and Josh are stranded in the middle of the desert and the only choice they have is to walk. Clarence gets appointed as leader after Josh resigns and Clarence is so lucky it's supernatural. They make it to their destination sheep's bridge and also some water. SOMEHOW Clarence is able to find a hot tub in the plateau.
Act 3: Night The 4 spend hours in the hot tub until it is night and Josh has gone mad. He imagines a new life for them and nearly falls off the cliff. The solution? Human chain. The first time I saw this scene I was on the edge of my seat. They do a good job of intensifying the scene as it goes on. My one problem I have with this episode is that the ending is kinda dumb. Nature Kate arrives with Sumo and the goat and somehow Josh is saved when he was hanging on a cliff and after all the turmoil Josh faces he gets his ear bitten off by the goat. Besides the ending it's a great episode of Clarence.
