Best honeymoon ever

Warning: Spoilers
Woah! This was awesome. Everything in this episode worked perfectly. The case was brilliant! The acting amazing. And this was a very funny episode. I laughed a lot, they really used the old west in the best way they could. I cannot compliment this episode enough.

Like I said, the case was brilliant. It was an actual treasure hunt, with a lot of twists. And I couldn't guess who the killer is. It started like an ordinary case, but then it just got more, and more complicated.

But, the thing I loved the most in this episode are Caskett scenes and Ryan's, Lanie's and Espo's anger because they weren't at the wedding.

And I loved Gates in this episode, too. She helped them understand that they should be happy for Castle and Beckett, because they finally made it work.

The ending was so sweet. Espo and Ryan agreed to give 2 days of their vacation days each to Beckett. Just so Caskett can have a real honeymoon.

And, just one more thing. Stana was super hot in this episode. That black outfit! Oh my God!

Love it

Warning: Spoilers
SPOILER ALERT! Do not read this unless you have seen the episode! I just loved this episode. I was disappointed with the previous one and I kind of feared about how this one would be, but it was simply amazing! Of course Kate and Rick needed an extraordinary honeymoon (in the 5th season, even what was supposed to be just a romantic week-end in his Hamptons house turned into a case, their attempted wedding became a case, their real wedding came after a case, so everything was shouting for a case for the honeymoon) but this was a great one. The Wild West, searching for the missing gold stolen a century ago by two robbers, a 20 years old murder, all these were finely mixed in a great story, with a lot of humor, not to mention how smoking hot is Kate on that black Zorro like outfit. A brilliant episode! 10 out of 10 this time!

Google Beckett in black cowgirl outfit. That will tell you all you need to know about this episode! They head to the Wild West to impersonate a Honeymooning couple to solve a murder. A murder involving buried gold treasure! Kate's Black outfit. Welcome to the wild, wild, west!

Wild Wild West Honeymoon
sini-2003 January 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This must be one of my favorite Castle episodes! Also so rare for a show that they can come up with such fresh and great ep ideas after seven seasons! The fact they have to go undercover to Wild West ranch for a case, and also on their "honeymoon" is simply fantastic. It has that pure Castle vibes to it, and has such funny scenes I laughed a lot, how seriously Castle took it and acting all Wild West typish, just hilarious!!.

The outfits, landscape the scenario, all is so good! Great that they also got a chance of their well deserved honeymoon. And i have to mention Beckett's gorgeous cowboy outfits, they def need a hat raise (pun intended)! Especially the black one at the end, she looked smoking hot like damm I had tin heart attack! And that white dress at the end, too, ohh my my.

worst castle episode i've seen :(

***NO SPOILERS - SAFE TO READ PRE-WATCHING***

this episode came across to both my me and my wife as being tired, lame and trying too hard. the jokes seemed clichéd, the plot was razor- thin, and the references to jaded action actors made us feel as if the episode was trying to cash in on an overdone trope.

i didn't notice my wife laugh, giggle, chuckle or even smile at any point. castle normally has her in raptures, but not this episode. the humour was just... lame. as a guy who grew up in the 80s, i relate well to action heroes and action movies, but i found myself giving forced laughs - "oh, this is a joke! i am supposed to laugh now".

castle came across in this episode as juvenile (as opposed to his usual charming childlikeness), and kate seemed as if she were running through lines. ryan and esposito's gimmick for the episode was so lame i cringed every time it came up (instead of laughing at what was supposed to be goofy).

while castle plots are usually not overly solid, this one required an even greater suspension of reality to believe. it was also dreadfully transparent. we both knew who the culprit was from super early on, and were just waiting for the big reveal (surprise! NOT) so that the show would end :(

this episode could have been an awesome firefly throwback (because let's me honest, most guys probably watch this show for mal reynolds (and kate beckett for eye candy)), but this was only a nod in firefly's direction theme-wise. no in-jokes here.

we both love the show immensely, but we struggled to keep awake by three quarters of the way through (we usually watch an episode before turning in at night). this season (7) has picked up the standard considerably and that highlights the poor quality of this episode all the more.
