Berni's Journey is a moving documentary which resonated with me and my personal reinvention.
I remembered the first time I went to India -- the sights, the sounds, the smells and the total culture shock.
I also cried and I was horrified at one point in the film but ultimately I felt gratitude that Berni shared so many of the same experiences I went through because it validated my own journey.
During the film you see Berni's raw emotion as she discovers the real reason she was inexplicably drawn to India to make this film.
You also find out how her family reacts to her decision (our husbands could share stories about their "crazy" wives and these things they just have to do -- even if they have no idea how to do them and it makes no sense at all!)
I hope Berni does a sequel.
