''Dos Mujeres y una Vaca'' (Two Women and a Cow). Being the debut of the colombian director and writer, Efrain Bahamon. I had the opportunity to meet him when i went to see this movie in the theater, it was presented as part of the ''IndieBo'' festival, in Colombia. Before the movie he explained a few things of the making of this movie, he says he loves violence, and that he always dreamed to do a movie with ultra-violence like ''The clockwork orange'' but when it comes to reality, Colombia is a country that has suffered from this, a lot. And violence can't be talked through a movie without the reality that we live. He said '' With this film i want to show how our colombian culture has taken everyone to this vicious circle of violence with no ending''. Thaht being said, i'm gonna go through some details of the movie. The film starts with one young lady who is pregnant and her mother in law, that live in the top of the mountain. They don't know how to read, and they get a letter from the lady's fiancé who is currently working according to his mom on a plantation. Here is where the movie starts the plot and they decide to go down the mountain to the village, so someone can read the letter for them. Here is when we start facing the reality that people that live out of the cities experience, like guerrillas, how they have the control over all the families and how they suffer just to do simple things. I'm not gonna spoil the whole movie here and id recommend it, even more if you live in south America, where there are tons of jungle gangs that destroy our countries moralities and the government don't do anything about it. Also the camera work, the dialogue are amazing. This movie is hard to watch, is a unique film, that has to have a different way of getting rate, id give it a 7, just because i'm the kind of guy that likes to be entertain the whole movie, but if you are more of an ''intelectual'' person you will definitely get an easy 10 out of this. Thank You for reading.
