Of all six first series episodes this is probably the weakest one for me, though that's not to say that it's a disaster.
There are some nice moments within it. From John's accident to the sadness of Kayleigh's situation, combined with her jealousy towards Rachel, it's better than most comedy on telly and Peter Kay and Sian Gibson play these characters beautifully.
My only fault of the episode really is it was a bit short on laughs. The 'oh we've broken down' aspect felt a bit forced and the episode quite literally didn't go anywhere.
For all that though the 'Devil woman' moment more than made up for any lack of pace.
