Enjoyable and informative

I find these shows interesting and informative, with just enough wit and lightheartedness to stay fun. Don't watch these of you want to get the full lowdown on all the major sites of a city you may plan on visiting. It's not intended to be a Rick Steves "where to stay and what to do while in....", but rather lots of pieces of historical information. In other words, the show won't give inside tips on how to get tickets to the Vatican Museums, say, but tell a bit of a story behind the passageway that runs between the Vatican and Castel Sant Angelo, if that difference makes sense. At about 25 minutes, just long enough to keep my interest without information overload.

I love the locations & the unique take on smart travel. The host makes it fun to learn the history behind the destinations. Plus, the photography is beautiful.

I discovered this show on PBS, but I binge-watched it on Amazon. It's so unique and fun! I thought I was the only person who wondered about quirky things. Why? Why? Why? 😁😁😁

Perfect for smart travellers!

Love this show! The host doesn't make it all about her. She shows us all the great places to visit, and gives us the history about why we should go there. My husband and I love the history and little tidbits you don't get on other travel shows. It inspires us to go to all these places!

We actually took notes on the Innsbruck and Montenegro episodes, jotting down information on what we shouldn't miss when we visited ourselves.

This show is so full of useful information, told in an entertaining way. The beautiful scenery and music makes you feel like you're really there!

Excellent, except....

This show is very interesting and informative, especially within a short time frame. Would rate it a 9 or 10, except for the VERY annoying and way too prevalent use of the "student? in the background: voice overs, responding to the host's information, with a "HUH???" or a "Wow..." or a little girl giggling. UGH! Unless this is intended as a children's program, it is just an insult to our intelligence, and really silly.

The constant music playing in the background of Curious Traveler is louder than the speaking, making the show annoying and distracting. I never watched the show again. I felt as if I were really at a concert.
