If you read the title "Childish Gambino: Telegraph Ave", then you see already the name of the artist and the name of the song for this 5-minute mucis video. Well, not really the name of the artist as C.G. is an alias for Golden Globe winning actor Donald Glover and the director is Hiro Murai and these two also copperated on Glover's smash hit Atlanta. Female lead actress Jhene Aiko I cannot really say anything about except she's pretty stunning and apparently also a good singer herself, even if we don't hear her in here. The song by Glover is fairly forgettable I would say though, nothing special, nothing catchy even, very mediocre. The video site is better and the ending makes for a fairly nice plot twist. I was genuinely curious if the girl was one of these tentacle creatures too, but we'll never find out I guess. Anyway, all in all believe the weak here was more frequent than the strong and yeah, there is nothing that truly stands out here on a level where I would say it is worth checking out because of that. Still watching the video is probably better than just listening to the song as the creative approach in terms of direction, cinematography etc. isn't too shabby. But even then, it is only for the very biggest Glover fans. I gotta give this one a thumbs-down. Not recommended.
