Good main story, aggravating side story

Warning: Spoilers
A petty officer is accused of murdering an old girlfriend. Due to some mishandled procedures his case is dismissed. However, even though he is now a free man, he is not happy because all of his fellow crewmen on his ship and his wife believe him to be guilty. His lawyer has a strategy that may help him. She has him go to NCIS and ask to be court martialed for the murder. The hope is that they will find evidence that will prove him to be innocent.

Meanwhile, Bishop and her husband get together for a really nice evening. They talk about how they do not get to see each other as much as they used to. She wants to try and find a way to be together more often. He is being aloof and evasive in his answers to her. Later, she sees him with another woman at a restaurant (the woman works in internal affairs). She assumes that he is being investigated. When she confronts him later about it, he tells her that he is not being investigated but is having an affair with the lady.

Bishop decides to go back to Oklahoma and does not know when she will return. She tells her husband to not contact her.

The story about the petty officer was a good one and I enjoyed how it unfolded. I like how the NCIS team gathered the information and the result from their investigation. I do not like the side story about Bishop. I am really getting sick and tired of watching shows where the marriages are having troubles (mainly affairs) and the couples are always breaking up and getting divorced. Although Bishop has not yet said that she plans on getting divorced, this is definitely the direction it seems to be heading. I really wish that these shows would show these marriages having issues, but the couples actually working hard at fixing things. I wish they would stop showing everyone having affairs and getting divorced.

Because of the lousy side story, I took off a couple of points making my score 7/10 instead of 9/10.
