Watch to learn CCP's deal
fjiangc9 July 2020
A true story, even though with a relatively low technical level. I have a family relative as Falun practitioner, experienced similar cruel persecution too. Please pay attention to the approaches that CCP has been using to infiltrate the western society. That's exactly the same as it used in 1940's to overthrow then-legitimate nationalist government.

Unrestricted Warfare

This is how wars between major powers and First World countries are fought in the 21st century -- i.e., using any and all means necessary. China play a long game; as the West play political musical chairs every three or four years. This dynamic -- communism versus democracy -- is the perfect playing field for the latter -- a home ground advantage, if you will -- for a system that, by its very design, is tailored for wars of attrition. As one democratically elected administration enters, and another exits, the C. C. P. Stand by the riverbank, immutable, watching the bodies of its enemies slowly float by.

The irony evoked in of the appellation used for 'In the Name of Confucius', borrows the same ironical license that the Chinese do with the naming of their soft power projecting, "Confucius Institutions" -- almost as if to tell the West, to their faces, exactly what they are doing; comfortable that the infamous cultural ignorance of the "laowai" will carry their subterfuge forward, irrespective of the blatancy of its ruse.

The documentary does well in focusing on the underlying motives of these, what are effectively military propaganda institutes', without getting bogged down in interminable Chinese history lessons, not detailing the endless horrors perpetrated, and that continue to be perpetrator by the C. C. P.. In the Internet Age, those outside China should have a reasonably grasp on why "The China Century" is not something the world should advocate for. Some have sighted the "lower budget" nature of the feature: this is a subjective analysis, and does not distract from the contents therein. For comparison, clocking in at under an hour, 'Confucius' is akin to a 60 Minutes or Frontline exposé, more than it is a fully-fledged documentary -- which is, by no means, a criticism; even part compliment, in terms of a higher likelihood of arresting viewer attention.

The self-sabotaging negligence of Western (et al.) governments in allowing the "red peril" to sidle its way into their sovereign nations' most sensitive sectors -- and in exchange for little more than a handful of beans: beans which the West handed to it on the platter, via its jobs, livelihoods, and irreplaceably resources -- is something historians will be left to adjudicated upon. However, as I review this film (2021), the ingravescently pressing issue of the "China question", is front and centre of all Western nations' geopolitical radars. Productions like 'Confucius' are vital pieces of information to non-Chinese to better understand these arcane peoples'; and, of import, the myriad machinations of its dastardly current government.

Interesting Film - In the Name of Confucius

The Confucius Institute is a fine line of schools created by the CCP to spread the Chinese language throughout the world. And when the curriculum sticks to various levels of the Chinese language, they are about the best Chinese schools in the world. Several US colleges and universities have taken advantage of the generosity of the CCP and their Confucius Institutes. These colleges and universities can now have Chinese language courses at all levels (beginner, intermediate, and advanced) given by the institutes at no cost to the college or university. This is a wonderful asset for most higher education institutions in the US. Students at all of these schools benefit as well, as China-US trade is the highest of all trade agreements in the world. Unfortunately, there are always political considerations whenever China and the US are involved. China detractors will say the CCP is pandering CCP propaganda along with the language courses, and proponents will say that nothing but language lessons are going on. What is the reality of this situation? Most likely somewhere in the middle. Do English courses in China pander democracy and capitalism? They most certainly do; especially when taught by Western professors. So, if the English teachers in China can preach about capitalism, it would only follow that China should be able to preach about socialism in their Chinese classes. After all, what's good for the goose and so on. What everyone seems to forget is that college students are not stupid.

Chinese college students know they cannot practice Western capitalism in China, so they adjust and practice Chinese capitalism. Western college students who drive nice cars and live in the suburbs really do not find any speeches about socialism to be too influential in their chosen lifestyles. Inner city students, on the other hand, might find some added meaning to these lessons.

In science, an object in motion tends to stay in motion, and US students who are diehard capitalists are not going to be marching down the streets howling for social reform. The same holds true for Chinese students who were born and raised under socialism. They will smile and politely nod at the Western professor as he preaches about democracy and free elections during English lessons in a Beijing classroom, and then they will go out with their friends from the CCP Youth Committees and have several beers at the local pub. Very few, if any, students from either country is going to be swayed by rhetoric from professors of Chinese or English. College students are too busy having fun looking for members of the opposite sex on the weekends, and having a bit too much beer. Believe me, I know what I am talking about; I taught Chinese students for over a decade in China. And I have taught American college students on American campuses as well; and there is hardly a nickel's difference between the two groups.

Excellent! A must watch.

This film shows the reality of the CCP's influence agenda. It's worse than anyone imagines. This movie is a must watch! The CCP hates this film and will do whatever it takes to discredit it, but don't be fooled.

Not really a film, more like a Youtube video.

I don't really want to comment on the content. Just I found the choice of background music is really poor, and the editing of film is on a very low level. I thought this is a proper documentary film and bought the ticket. Turns out just a political tool.

It really doesn't have much to do with CI, it's just a propaganda piece by falun gong which is like the scientology of China...
