great show but...

Before tonight show, I would have given these guys a 10, they have a lot going on over the other car show of the same.

However... I lost a lot of faith when they took a rare Bandit Trans AM, one of 11 + hundred according to the auction house, and went through a lot of parts and labor to make it Not an original factory T/A by putting in a T-10 four speed. The Bandit car from the movie was an automatic, except in some of the far away shots, A fiberglass body on a VW chassis and drive train were used, just as in Night Rider.

They should have put the time, money and effort, took that money and rebuilt the motor in the Mustang with the 427 inch motor.

Same ole same ole but worse.

Warning: Spoilers
In a world full of contrived shows about classic cars this is by far the worst.

The show is like another version of "Ground hog Day". Every episode shows made up drama between the partners, scripted sales between the buyer and seller, impossible to find parts that magically turn up, usually supposedly hidden under hood or a door on the ground in some friend's junk yard.

Worst of all, some fake auction in a studio somewhere. (See cast and crew list, the bidders are actors, a few of them are even listed here. The rest are friends or family of the crew by the looks on their faces). There is always some bogus deadline to get the car of the week to said auction. Even this part of a weak script is similar every episode "We only have 7 days to get this car ready for the auction!" To sum up, an insult to people's intelligence.

Decent cars but this "doctor" doesn't belong anywhere near cars

Obviously fake timelines and auctions which is horrid but I can look past that , the cars that the mechanic partner builds without the input from the money guy are pretty decent but that clown doesn't belong anywhere near the decision making process! If that partner who does all the work ever reads this ... do yourself a favor and get away from that idiot... what's he a doctor of ? Doctor Doolittle maybe!!

One of the most ridiculous of the ridiculous tv car shows, let's just paint over or wrap & then paint over all the rust, in rickety old shed at that, then slug some poor shmuck megabucks for it. Wouldn't buy a hot wheels car from this clown.

So over the top Staged.

Other reviews have laid out how ridiculous the finds/builds/sales are. How bout making it a drinking game? Take a shot every time they... ...mention how rare/special/cool the vehicle is.

...add a "twist" to the build.

...mention the deadline/lack of time.

...find a rare/much needed part in someone's backyard/shed/junkpile.

...discover something that delays the build.

...mentions anything about how much they're spending vs how much they need to make (ie "we gotta make a million on this car or we'll lose the shop") And a shot for every $10k they make in profit.

Most will be hammered before the 2nd commercial break.
