Matt Murdock isn't coming back
ha77y73ad9721 October 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Picking up straight after the ambush of Wilson Fisks convoy we learn 5 agents were killed during this. The public outrage is coming to a head with the "release" of Fisk and being held up in a penthouse just makes it worse.

As Fisk is now confined to this penthouse the story moves to find Vanessa and bring her back. With his attorneys find that she is in fact in Barcelona and Fisk enraged wants her to be moved to a safer and closer location so the Albanians can't get to her. The dynamic between Fisk and the 2 FBI agents is getting more and more interesting with each conversation. Both hate Fisk, 1 certainly has a dark past and future

We also get treated to another well choreographed fight scene of Matt trying to flea the car park of the hotel where he was trying to get to Fisk. But the main arc of this episode for Matt is that he is having the same hallucinations as jessica Jones did in season 2, where their arch enemies are taunting them and for Matt to let the devil out.

Foggys story is going to be a stand out where he left guilt for what happened to Matt and tries to keep everything together as he's a councillor now. The ending does she'd some light and helps him come back to the more lovable character that he plays.

Another story for the reporter of Paige, the story that she picked up for the kidnapping gone wrong now leads her to the palace hotel where Fisk is being held. Eventhough being told to leave the Fisk case alone she still manages to find out that the hotel / penthouse that the government had seized is actually own by Wilson Fisk. Something will play out round this story and the hotel will be exposed for being owned by him.

Also one class piece of story telling and camera work is the moment when Karen first turns up to the hotel and in the background you see Matt walk away. Poetry in motion to keep his secret safe and Karen safer.

The devil is back
Barry_Garrick22 October 2018
This episode highlights how much damage Fisk has done to Matt psychologically in the past that he is now firmly ingrained in Matt's identity. It is hard not to see similarities to the Jessica Jones/Kilgrave dynamic which isn't necessarily a bad thing as I think these mental conflicts can help the viewer to better understand the protagonist's inner struggles. Matt knows Fisk will persist unless the devil takes him out and makes sure he stays down

Leaves you wanting more for the wrong reasons
maxglen20 October 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Now this episode is by no means bad but the show never has been and in retrospect this feels like one of the weaker episodes and worse, a wasted opportunity. The idea of Matt going undercover to infiltrate a hotel full of FBI and of course The Kingpin sounds like it would make for a tense and thrilling episode to rival the best out there and in the end it just feels like it never really capitalises on the things that could of made it great. The car park fight scene is as enthralling and well choreographed as anything the show has done prior but it is brief and is really this episodes saving grace. The scenes where Matt attempts to sneak and manipulate his way to Fisk just lack any tension or climax and one thing that really pushes this episode back for me is the 'Villain in the head of the Hero' cliche, It's been done before (in other Marvel Netflix shows no less!) and it's been done better. I also feel like Matthew and Foggy's reunion lacked build up and therefore any kind of satisfaction. Luckily the episode straight after this is exactly what I wanted from this season and more so this feels more like a bump in the road but a bump in the road it is. 7.0 out of 10

Benjamin 'Dex' Poindexter
GreenLanthorn19 October 2018
Warning: Spoilers
All three Episodes so far have been... OUTSTANDING ... Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio acting surpassed my expectations and have meet Season One Levels. Matt dealing with his lack of faith in God by accepting his dark side is going to have serious consequences latter. Kingpin playing FBI Agent Rahul 'Ray' Nadeem like a fool, something tells me FBI Agent Rahul 'Ray' Nadeem is not going to live very long?

We get to know FBI Agent Sharpshooter Dex Poindexter somewhat, and can't wait for his character development into 'spoiler alert' BULLS-EYE. I very curious if the writers are going to turn Karen Page into a drug addict and Porn Star like in the Comic Book version?

Anyways, working my way to Episode FOUR and beyond...

Matt Murdock no more...
daseandw22 October 2018
This episode delves into each characters inner psyche and their development. It has some emotional aspects where characters have to deal with. Here we see the story arc going further into Matt's seeing eye to eye with his alter ego to figure stuff out. Another great episode..

The Devil, clawing at the back of your throat
lucanreyn-4017719 October 2018
Warning: Spoilers
An episode which further explores Matt's urge to emphasize the "devil" in his stage name. This is presented in a memorable on-the-nose battle with his left brain, personified as a vicious Wilson Fisk in an expensive white suit. There's no subtlety here at all, going as far as Fisk shouting "You can't even kill yourself" and "let the devil out", but it honestly works really well this way.

Other storylines include the meeting of Matt and Foggy, which obviously took the Confused Foggy by surprise, and the rise of Dex, a character of whom I'm very intrigued about.

It's an episode that leaves you wanting more as opposed to making you admire what you just saw.

Brilliant writing!
vineethchandran17 November 2018
I absolutely loved the episode. Wilson Fisk gets out of prison and we get to see exactly the kind of reaction we expect to get from every character involved and also what they are gonna do about it. There is also a bit of cool action. The dialogues are also very well written and loved some of the conversations between the characters.

Boredevil vol 3.3
ThunderKing618 July 2022
A lot better episode than the previous. Still its missing some substance. Honestly, all I see when I watch this is an ugly mesh of colors. The Camera quality is ugly and makes this better episode look less than average.

More action is seen in this episode. The steath is unique. I'm not a fan of the daredevils fighting style. It feels too tight and mushy.

Once again, the best scenes are with the Bullseye, Kingpin and with the Lawyer. Matt is just dull.

Matt is Back [8/10]

Warning: Spoilers
My Reaction / Review for Daredevil Season 3 Episode 3 ''No Good Deed'' (S3. E3): Episode 2 was great and I gave it a rating of 8.8/10. Vanessa is missing? Did they kidnap her? Wilson seems to be a bit depressed. Ok so it seems like Vanessa is safe, that's good news for Wilson. I like the conversations that Matt is having with Fisk inside his head. Seems like Nadeem suffers from survivor's guilt. Is Matt really thinking about killing Wilson? Dex looks like an absolute weirdo, following this woman where she goes. And the episode ends with Matt meeting Foggy, now that's a happy ending or it isnt because Matt basically told him to stay away from him. Matt just wants to be alone and have no real relationships because he is afraid of losing someone he loves. Overall a good episode, my rating is 8/10.

No Good Deed
bobcobb3016 November 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Fisk is such a good villain here. Rarely do you find a baddie on a TV show that you actually hate, but he fits that bill for sure. He is playing the long game this season which is nice too as too often these days you find people with low attention spans and storylines wrapped up too quickly.

Season 3 is off to a good start.

More bearable
Leofwine_draca13 February 2022
Again, not bad, just not amazing. I think the whole 'devil on your shoulder' trope is a bit tiresome and could have done without it. The good news is that they're starting to introduce more well-choreographed fight scenes which makes it all a bit more bearable.
