All hail the Kingpin
Barry_Garrick29 October 2018
The excellent writing continues as we learn Fisk has even more control than we previously thought. Now with almost three seasons of seeing Fisk, the sheer power and intimidation he exudes never lets up. This show could easily be called Kingpin and it would be just as satisfying and that is testament to the incredible writing and performance by D'Onofio. Fisk is far from a sympathetic villain; you know you shouldn't root for him but he does everything so effortlessly well that you just want to always see him on screen.

Amazing

This episode was great but that soundtrack that played when agent nadeem realize Fisk has the FBI under his control just before the theme song plays is fantastic.it gave me goosebumps.

A Hero against Strongest villain

Warning: Spoilers
Actually it's a 12/10 show, OMG that was hell of an episode. So much to talk about, Villains are prepping up well. It won't be easy for Daredevil to beat them out and that's all is making him a great hero. Agent Nadeem is a relatable character just like us, an honest, caught in trap.

OH... MY GOD!

Warning: Spoilers
Only up to the credits, and that last scene before they commenced, with the driving strings and the slow zoom, "I'm not your boss now, Wilson Fisk is" *hands back his badge* WTF?!?!?! The connections run so deep it's extremely unsettling. Prime example of a good intro!

The Revelations of Wilson Fisk
ha77y73ad9725 October 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Another solid episode from my favorite TV show of the year. Even though its possibly one of the weaker episode in terms of action but still pushes the story along nicely with Karen fearing for her life after telling Fisk what actually happened during season 1. this is still far better than any other the Iron Fist or Luke Cage season 1.

1 detail that this series has really taken a set forward from Jessica Jones season 2 is the visions of the villains and people that have betrayed them. We see Matt battling to come to terms with finding out about his dads affair with sister Maggie with the visions of his dad haunting him through the middle of this episode and then the brutal visions of killing Fisk.

After the reveal that a dozen FBI agents are in Fisks pocket and allowing him to be released from the confinement of the hotel, they've been rounding up the last remaining criminal lords to Fisk to meet and also lay the trap for Daredevil to walk right into. Which never happens as Matt looks to go and wait for when they return. With the last sentence of the episode pointing to that Karens in more danger than both of them thought in the first place.

1 other great point the FBI finally saying his real name "Kingpin"

Fisk is in charge

Warning: Spoilers
Things are heating up now. Just as Matt edges closer to Fisk, he learns that he has to go save Karen. That just sums up how Matt's seek for Fisk has gone throughout the entire show really. He's always getting close but not close enough. It's frustrating him; so much so that he has a 'vision' of Wilson Fisk being brutally beaten by the hands of himself. Matt has also just found out that Sister Maggie is his mother, so it's an understatement to say Matt isn't going through the greatest of times right now.

This episode was good, but was definitely a set-up type episode. It was well directed and tense, but you could take out a lot of the actual events from this episode without it affecting the bigger picture...however, it did a marvellous job in both showing just how much power Fisk has and providing deeper insight to sister Maggie and father Lantom, as well as growing the character of Rahul Nadeem, who was particularly interesting this episode.

The opening was phenomenal, the ending was exciting and what was in between was fairly solid.

Boredevil vol 3.9
ThunderKing619 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This is what Loki should have been in the MCU. I like Loki in the MCU but he doesn't rep the title trickster god well.

Kingpin was a true trickster. Guy pulled strings while in prison. Loki's plans looked really sloppy.

This was the best Daredevil episode of all time. The show may have started out boring, but 3 episodes so far out of 8 is not bad. The suspense, games and reveals came out of nowhere.

I didn't even care about Matt's mommy, when i heard about it, I truly did not see that coming. That was a good twist.

Great episode. It's a bit of a Daredevil show. It's more of a Kingpin show. Now I realize why the geeks were raging for Kingpin after Hawkeye showing. Kingpin in that show was a jobber. He was not the same guy. I don't think he's dead, though. MCU/Disney want to embarrass him some more before they kill him off like Quicksilver.

Kingpin's Kingdom [8/10]

Warning: Spoilers
My Reaction / Review for Daredevil Season 3 Episode 9 ''Revelations'' (S3. E9): Episode 8 was great and I gave it a rating of 8.8/10. Nadeem's boss frames him for murder? I didn't see that coming. Damn, does she work for Fisk or something? Karen seems to be scared and ready to run and hide. It doesn't really make sense that Matt's mother never told him and that she believed it was better for him to be alone. What kind of mother that is? A really bad one. Nadeem is living a nightmare, it sucks to be him right now. Wow, it seems like Fisk will destroy Foggy's family business unless Foggy takes back everything he said, that's so brutal! So now the FBI literally works for Fisk, that's insane. So now Matt has to fight both Fisk and the entire FBI? That's gonna be nice. So now Fisk will get 25% of the money these criminals make? And all of that with the protection from the FBI, absolutely insane. Overall a good episode, my rating is 8/10.

Revelations

Warning: Spoilers
Fisk has been reinvigorated as a villain this season because of the fact that he has sort of been pinned against the wall, almost the underdog in this scenario. But him back on top does not work and is not exactly original.

This show has me hooked this season, but I prefer the slow but confident Fisk to this arrogant one.

This getting old fast
barodabulldog14 January 2022
Warning: Spoilers
They just keep piling it on. Fisk has his fingers everywhere. He can hurt everyone. He controls everyone.

Matt makes a potentially stupid decision. What a shock. He does that every other episode now.

This season is no longer enjoyable. I'll watch to the end. But, it feels like the writers are just dragging this season out to fill up the episode quota. The episodes in this section of the season are a drag.

Growing suspense
Leofwine_draca15 February 2022
Although some of the familial shenanigans scream 'soap opera', generally this is a very good episode with Nadeem's sub-plot in particular becoming very intense, suspenseful and well-focused.
