- The main character Griffin is nude but he is invisible . But in the beginning you see him fully clothed until he changed into invisibility and he is like that through the movie until the end. The maid is topless as she washes herself, but only seen from behind; her breasts are therefore not visible from the angle in the scene.

- At the beginning, the invisible man (Griffin) choked a drunken tramp. In another scene, you see Griffin not invisible working on another concoction that will turn him invisible in his bedroom of a boarding house. This scene where Griffin jab himself with a needle with the concoction and he injects himself. Griffin started to feel the affects of the concoction can be starting for younger viewers.
