It looks like developers are determined to claim a bigger space in the sports genre next season. Alongside EA Sports Fc 25, we might see new developments from 2K, which has acquired the rights to produce a FIFA football game. Additionally, there will be a new free-to-play title: Ufl.
Promising to compete with the major titles in the market, the game developed by StrikerZ Inc. aims to achieve realistic and diverse gameplay. At the same time, it attempts to avoid one of the industry’s significant problems: aggressive microtransactions, which are increasingly prevalent in sports games. These promises have caught the attention of several famous players, who now support the game’s development.

George Lucas vetted several options before roping in Richard Marquand to helm Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi. Some directors were not interested in directing Lucas’s epic space film, while the creator rejected a few others. One of the directors whom Lucas didn’t want for the film was the Basic Instinct director Paul Verhoeven.

While he was a director with a vision, Verhoeven was known for including graphic scenes depicting violence and s*xual content in his films. Lucas wasn’t impressed by these scenes in one of the director’s films and decided to look for another director.

Did Benson do the right thing?
On Law & Order: Svu Season 25 Episode 12, she wanted to get closure and justice for Sykes and other families of children who went missing in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
Sykes hated her for it, and finding Crystal's body after all these years broke her heart. Still, Benson's work allowed the families to get answers, which can be an important part of healing.
Shannah Sykes is No Amanda Rollins
Maybe it was because Rollins was fresh in my mind after Law & Order: Svu Season 25 Episode 11, but it felt like the Svu writers were trying too hard to make Sykes into Rollins 2.0.
Like Rollins, Sykes has a troubled past and deals with her demons through addictive behavior.

Disney CEO Bob Iger says Marvel will continue its “less is more” strategy, with two TV series released per year and a maximum of three films in cinemas.
Disney head honcho Bob Iger has said in the past that he wants the companies under his banner to operate on a quality-rather-than-quantity basis. It’s something he’s iterated again in a quarterly earnings call with investors, specifying that he wants Marvel Studios to release no more than two or three films a year. It’ll take a similarly restrained approach with its TV output, he’s said.
“We’re slowly going to decrease volume and go to probably about two TV series a year instead of what had become four and reduce our film output from maybe four a year to two, or a maximum of three,” Iger said in quotes shared by Variety. “And we’re working hard on what that path is.

Taylor Swift‘s record-breaking debut on the Billboard 200 albums chart with “The Tortured Poets Department” has unsurprisingly been followed by a second week on top. In fact, its first week was so massive that even with a second week drop of 83%, nothing else even came close. It achieved 439,000 equivalent album units for the tracking week that ended May 2 based on its combined record sales, individual track sales and online streams. The British singer-songwriter’s signatures have always been her powerhouse vocals, her confessional lyrics about heartbreak, and her unabashed emotion — she’ll make you cry or die trying. Her breakthrough came in 2008 with the release of her album “19,” which appropriately dropped when she was still 19-years-old. That collection was a modest hit — modest by her standards that is — peaking at number-four on the Billboard 200 albums chart and certified triple platinum in the US. It produced the single “Chasing Pavements,” which earned her her first Grammy noms for Record of the Year and Song of the Year, and she won Best New Artist.
But that was just a hint of what was to come. Her next album, “21,” was a global phenomenon. Its lead single, “Rolling in the Deep,” became her first chart-topper in the US. The collection went 14-times platinum and swept the Grammys in 2012, including Album of the Year,...

The Voice is in its 25th season and the coaches believe they know what makes it still popular all these years later. While television ratings have dropped, that has happened across all of television. The Voice‘s ratings remain relatively strong compared to the rest of the television landscape.
Here is why The Voice coaches feel the show remains strong 25 seasons since its start
What Caused The Voice‘s Success?
The Voice has been on the air for 13 years and 25 seasons. As a comparison, Fox canceled American Idol after 15 seasons. Since moving to ABC, it is now in its 22nd season. The Voice has had more seasons than one of the most popular singing competition shows in history. It also easily outlasted a similar show in The X Factor, which only lasted three seasons in the United States.

NBC’s The Voice Season 25 is here, and fans are embracing the judges this season. Reba McEntire returned for her second season as a full-time coach, and John Legend and Chance the Rapper rejoined to judge alongside McEntire. Additionally, newcomers Dan + Shay became the first duo judges to join the series. Unfortunately, sources claim that the show creators are “freezing” McEntire’s pay due to budget cuts.
‘The Voice’ creators are reportedly ‘freezing’ Reba McEntire’s pay
The Voice Season 25 features some of the best judges the show’s ever had. Unfortunately, sources claim that the series creators plan to make budget cuts that will likely impact the judges’ pay. Reba McEntire is reportedly getting the biggest payout per individual judge, so she’ll certainly feel the effects of a “talent budget” cut.
“There is a substantial trimming of costs and ways of looking at not increasing spending,” an NBC contractor told The Sun.

Taylor Swift’s historic fourth Album of the Year win
After Taylor Swift’s Album of the Year win for “Midnights,” Noah claimed she was the first person to win Album of the Year four times. That is not exactly correct — engineers Tom Coyne, Serban Ghenea, and John Hanes had won four times before “Midnights” — but Swift is indeed the first woman and first performer to win this many times, following her victories for “Fearless,” “1989” and “Folklore.” This historic win is a testament to Swift’s ability to make consistently successful albums,...

Two days ago, I mentioned to the loved ones I was spending Christmas with that I knew exactly where I was 25 years earlier. On the evening of December 25, 1998, I was sitting in a movie theatre, taking in an opening day screening of director Robert Rodriguez‘s alien invasion horror film The Faculty (watch it Here). Now, two days after the film’s 25th anniversary, scooper Daniel Richtman has revealed on his Patreon page that Rodriguez is producing a remake of The Faculty!
That’s all of the information that’s available at this time. The Faculty is getting a remake and Robert Rodriguez is on board as producer.
Rodriguez directed the original The Faculty from a screenplay by Scream writer Kevin Williamson (working from a story by David Wechter and Bruce Kimmel). The film has the following synopsis: To the students at Harrington High, the principal and her posse of...

There’s something Isabella Lovestory does with her neo-perreos, they make people feel fearless. On Wednesday, the Honduran star released the video for “Fuetazo,” her new single with Villano Antillano, which she says is about “making moves” and being unafraid “like a mermaid’s tail hitting the water.”
The visual sees the two performers wearing mermaid tails while wading in water in the back of a truck and lying on a sandy beach.
“The serendipitous and spontaneous adventure of making the song makes this collab so special for me,” Lovestory tells Rolling Stone.

Ridley Scott will turn 86 on November 30, and the man shows no signs of slowing down. The wildly prolific filmmaker's latest historical epic, "Napoleon," hits theaters on November 22, but he's already gearing up for his next massive undertaking.
I wouldn't say moviegoers were clamoring for "Gladiator 2" (except maybe for the period when musician Nick Cave was writing his evidently bonkers screenplay), but once Scott began casting the sequel to the 2000 Best Picture winner, many of us were suddenly all the way in. How's this for a powerhouse ensemble: Paul Mescal, Pedro Pascal, Matt Lucas, Djimon Hounsou, Connie Nielsen, and Derek Jacobi (the last three reprising their roles from the first movie).
And, oh yeah, Denzel Washington.
This will mark the two-time Academy Award-winning actor's second collaboration with Scott after "American Gangster," and his mere involvement is enough to make this one of 2024's most anticipated films. But now that Scott...

Sir Ridley Scott, the legendary filmmaker and grumpy grandpa extraordinaire, should probably be pictured in the dictionary next to the term "straight shooter." So when you ask him why he finally decided to make a sequel to "Gladiator", he's not going to default to studio-approved talking points. Instead, he'll cut right to the chase and tell you it all came down to finding a reason to make "Gladiator 2" other than for money.
"Well, economically, it makes sense," Scott told Deadline. (See what I mean?) Like most people, Scott felt the first film was "completely satisfactory, creatively complete, so why muck with it, right?" Of course, money talks in Hollywood, so he kept having conversations about the project for the next 20 years, to the point where it "started to spell itself out as an obvious thing to do, and that's how it evolved." Round up your war elephants, folks, because Denzel Washington is taking a page out of the history books for his next starring role. Currently set to restart production on Ridley Scott's "Gladiator" sequel, which was one of the many casualties of halting filming during the recently-concluded SAG-AFTRA strike, it would seem that the famous actor has caught the historical epic bug. And in a surprising twist, this next project will bring Washington full-circle to a movie he originally wanted to star in over two decades ago. Always trust the process, people!

To no one’s surprise, Taylor Swift has the number-one album in the country with “1989 (Taylor’s Version).” It had the biggest launch of any of her re-recorded “Taylor’s Version” albums. Read all about this week’s Billboard 200 albums chart here at Billboard.com.
The new edition of “1989” debuted with 1.653 million equivalent album units based on its combined record sales, individual track sales and online streaming performance. That’s the most units for any album since 2015, when Adele‘s “25” got started with an extraordinary 3.482 million. Most of Swift’s total came from traditional sales 1.359 million, which marks the biggest sales week of Swift’s career and already makes “1989 (Taylor’s Version)” the bestselling album of the year. CBS’s Big Brother Season 25 is ending soon, and we’re keeping a close watch as the jury accrues members. The seven houseguests who don’t make it to the finale become the jury, and they decide who wins the prize money from the final two. So, does the Big Brother jury get paid? Here’s what to know, plus rules the jury members have to follow.
Do ‘Big Brother’ jury members get paid?
There’s great news for Big Brother Season 25 jury members — and that’s that they continue to get paid until the game ends. Each player reportedly earns around $1,000 each week they’re in the Big Brother house. And for houseguests who make it to the jury, they continue to earn $1,000 weekly. Making the jury in season 25 means you earn around $14,000 before the season ends.
Elena Davies from season 19 spoke on Jason Tartick’s Trading Secrets podcast about the houseguests’ weekly stipend.

A third "Sicario" movie still seems to be in the works, and according to an interview producers recently gave Collider, there's a good chance it'll get the original band back together. Producers Trent Luckinbill and Molly Smith spoke to the outlet about the potential third film, revealing that their idea for it involves not just Benicio Del Toro and Josh Brolin's characters (who both appeared in the less fully embraced sequel "Sicario: Day of the Soldado" in 2018), but also Emily Blunt's, who hasn't been seen since the 2015 original.
"Our idea is to get the cast back together with Benicio, Emily, and Josh, and we've got a great story to tell," Smith told Collider. The last time audiences saw Blunt's FBI special agent Kate Macer, she was mulling over the idea of killing Del Toro's Alejandro, a CIA-trained assassin who oversaw the team's cartel-catching mission and went...

Martin Scorsese Explains Why Robert De Niro And Leonardo DiCaprio Are His Most Trusted Collaborators
The idea of putting together a group that enjoys working as a team is a notion as old as time, yet there remains something special about the notion of an artistic repertory company. This is a group that exists not just to perform a task with a certain level of quality, but to explore each of their own personalities (as well as each other's) while plumbing the human condition for new corners of interest. In other words, it's about combining the familiarity and camaraderie of long-time friends and coworkers with the blank slate of artistic creation.
Of course, these explorations can't go as far or be as truthful without a remarkable amount of trust being involved, and that's precisely what director Martin Scorsese values in his own "repertory company" members. Some of Scorsese's detractors may think of his continued casting of Robert De Niro and Leonardo DiCaprio as a sort of laziness,...

This article contains spoilers for "Killers of the Flower Moon."
Martin Scorsese, one of our finest living filmmakers, returns to a theme he's made his own for decades in "Killers of the Flower Moon" -- the American dream and the fallacy in its formation. This time, the focus is not on white men gaining wealth, fame, and power through less-than-scrupulous means, though there is still plenty of that happening, but there's a stronger emphasis on how the realization of the American dream often means ruin, death, and doom for communities of color.
In the film, we see this with the Osage Nation, a Native American tribe residing in present-day Oklahoma after being removed from Kansas by the U.S. government. The Osage found oil on their land in the early 20th century, which they retained the rights for, resulting in many members of the Osage Nation becoming rather wealthy. It's here...

Big Brother Season 25 had two serious showmances going on. While Jared Fields and Blue Kim were the first houseguests to mingle the game with real feelings, America Lopez and Cory Wurtenberger weren’t far behind. With America and Cory up for nomination in week 11, one will face eviction and head to the jury. Will they continue dating after the show?
[Spoiler alert: Big Brother Season 25 Week 11 spoilers ahead.]
Will America Lopez and Cory Wurtenberger continue dating after ‘Big Brother’ Season 25?
Big Brother Season 25 Week 11 showed just how close America Lopez and Cory Wurtenberger became through the previous 10 weeks. At first, America and Cory seemed like an unlikely showmance, especially regarding their age. America is 27 years old, whereas Cory is just 21. Despite the difference (and their initial determination to keep their “fauxmance” very casual), the other houseguests know Cory and America developed real feelings for each other.
Unfortunately, like all great showmances, America and Cory’s must end.

Steven Spielberg's 1984 film "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom" moves at a breakneck pace, seeing its title character (Harrison Ford) survive a black market artifact deal, the death of an old friend, a poisoning, a shootout in a night club, a plane crash, a sled ride down a snowy mountain, and a dangerous river rafting excursion before the plot even begins in earnest. It's not until Indy exits that raft and steps ashore in a small village in India that his quest becomes clear.
The village of Mayapore, Indy finds, has fallen into starvation and destitution due to an ill-defined parasitic influence coming from a local palace. It seems that evil members of a cult, operating out of said palace, have come to Mayapore, kidnapped all the children, and stolen their sacred Sankara stone, a magical artifact that seemingly kept the village verdant and well-fed. CBS’s Big Brother 25 houseguests are likely kicking themselves for not getting Cameron Hardin out of the game before week 9. Cameron continues to dominate the competition, as we’ve seen him become the Head of Household multiple times. In week 9, he has even more power as the Hoh and the Power of Veto holder. But his home life remains somewhere of a mystery.
Several houseguests have talked about Cameron’s alleged flirtation. So, does he have a relationship back home? Here’s what we know about Cameron Hardin’s wife.

CBS’s Big Brother Season 25 finally saw the breakup of the Fields family. When Cirie and Jared Fields first entered the game as a mother-and-son couple, I thought the producers might want to do everything they could to protect their gameplay and move them forward in the competition. But Jared hurt his own gameplay on several occasions. And his use of a slur certainly didn’t help. Here’s what Jared said about using slurs after eviction from the Big Brother house.
‘Big Brother’ 25 houseguest Jared Fields apologized for using a slur in the house
Fans of Big Brother — myself included — felt shocked when Jared Fields uttered a slur on the live feeds in season 25. Jared made it clear that he knew the live feeds ran 24/7 for audience entertainment, and production previously removed Luke Valentine from the season for saying a racist slur. Steven Spielberg's 2008 film "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" is unlike the previous three Indiana Jones movies in several vital respects. One might have noticed that the previous movies all featured holy artifacts from one of Earth's major practiced faiths. The Ark of the Covenant from "Raiders of the Lost Ark" is a relic sacred to the Jewish people. The Sankara Stones from "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom" aren't real, but they are based on Shiva lingams, smooth stones found throughout India in Hindu temples devoted to Shiva. "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade" saw the title archaeologist finding the Holy Grail, the cup that Christ used during the Last Supper in Christian mythology. In contrast, "Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" saw Indy searching for ... an alien skull.

Big Brother always reminds us to expect the unexpected, and there’s nothing more unexpected than two straight weeks of potentially meaningless gameplay.
First, Cameron’s entire Head of Household reign was rendered moot when Matt opted to use the Power of Invincibility last week, saving Jag from eviction and ensuring that no one would leave the house. But heading into this week’s eviction, the effort to save Jag appeared to have been wasted, as he found himself right back on the nomination block and poised to walk out the door for real.

Washington, Sep 1 (Ians) US space agency NASA on Friday said that its Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (Lro) spacecraft has imaged a new crater on the Moon’s surface that is likely the impact site of Russia’s Luna 25 mission.

Roscosmos, Russia’s space agency, published an estimate of the impact point on August 21.

Moscow, Aug 20 (Ians) Russia’s space agency Roscosmos has said that its Luna-25 spacecraft crashed into the moon after it ran into “unspecified trouble”, the media reported on Sunday.
While entering a pre-landing orbit, the spacecraft ran into unspecified issues and “spun into an uncontrolled orbit”, reports Mirror.
Earlier, the spacecraft encountered an “abnormal situation” as it was preparing to transfer to its pre-landing orbit to the moon.
“During the operation an emergency occurred on the space probe that did not allow it to perform the manoeuvre in accordance with the required parameters,” Roscosmos said in a statement on Saturday.

Moscow, Aug 11(Ians) After 47 years, Russia is set to return to the Moon with its Luna 25 lander mission.
Luna-25 took off atop a Soyuz-2.1b rocket from the Vostochny launch facility in Russia at 2:10 a.m. Moscow time (4:40 am Ist) on Friday, Tass news agency reported.
Russia’s last lunar mission, Luna-24 was launched in 1976, during the former Soviet Union period.
It successfully delivered about 170 grams of moon samples to Earth.
Luna-25 is expected to reach the Moon’s orbit on August 16 before landing on August 21.
The spacecraft will spend between three and seven days about 100 km above the lunar surface before touching down in the area of the Boguslawsky crater.
Manzinus and Pentland-a craters have been named as alternative landing sites.
Once landing safely, Luna-25 aims to work on the lunar surface for at least one Earth year.
Its key goal is to polish the soft landing technology.

Angus Cloud, the actor responsible for the beating heart of "Euphoria" as Fezco "Fez" O'Neill has tragically died. The news was first reported by TMZ, which included a statement from Cloud's family.
"It is with the heaviest heart that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human today," his family wrote. "As an artist, a friend, a brother, and a son, Angus was special to all of us in so many ways." The statement continued with the acknowledgement that Cloud had lost his father the week prior, and was struggling severely with his death. "The only comfort we have is knowing Angus is now reunited with his dad, who was his best friend," they wrote. "Angus was open about his battle with mental health and we hope that his passing can be a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not fight this on their own in silence.

G Herbo has pleaded guilty to wire fraud and lying to federal agents after being indicted in 2020.
The Chicago rapper, born Herbert Wright, was charged alongside five associates with using stolen identities to accumulate about $1.5 million in fraudulent purchases, including private jets, a trip to Jamaica and “designer puppies.”
Wright faces up to 20 years in prison but according to court records, will likely receive a lower sentence with probation.
The plea agreement stated, “Wright used the proceeds of these frauds to travel to various concert venues and to advance his career by posting photographs and/or videos of himself on the private jets, in the exotic cars, and at the Jamaican villa.”
The agreement also alleges that Wright lied to a U.S. federal agent regarding his relationship with Antonio Strong, his rap promoter, who is accused of being the mind behind the identity theft plan. He claimed to have...

Heidi Klum inadvertently became part of the “free the nipple” movement, when her titillating gown couldn’t hold her together.
The 49-year-old “America’s Got Talent” judge attended the “La Passion De Dodin Bouffant” premiere Wednesday at the 76th annual Cannes Film Festival and, while walking the red carpet at Palais des Festivals, all eyes were on Klum, who looked stunning in an aurora yellow Zuhair Murad gown with a hip-high leg slit, crossed neckline and bejeweled sleeves.

For most of her career, Rihanna had been making hit after hit — from her 2005 debut, Pon de Replay, to her 2007 Grammy-winning single, Umbrella, and her 2016 No. 1 hit, Work. However, after reaching what many perceived to be her artistic pinnacle with her last album Anti, the pop superstar seemed to have disappeared from the music industry.
It’s been seven long years since Rihanna released an album, and fans have been waiting with bated breath for her next musical offering. But as it turns out, the Diamonds singer has a relatable reason for waiting this long to release a new album.

In a rare case of Warner Bros. Discovery trying to add content to HBO Max, the company has filed a lawsuit against Paramount Global regarding the streaming rights to Comedy Central’s “South Park.” The case was filed Friday in the New York State Supreme Court, according to documents obtained by IndieWire, and also targets Paramount’s subsidiaries MTV Entertainment Studios and South Park Digital Studios.
The suit accuses Paramount Global, which owns both Comedy Central and “South Park,” of breaking the terms of a 2019 licensing deal between the two corporations involving Trey Parker and Matt Stone’s long-running satirical animated series.
In a statement to IndieWire, a representative of Paramount Global said they believe the claims are “without merit,” and accused Wbd of failing to pay licensing fees owed to Paramount for “South Park” episodes streaming on HBO Max.
“We believe these claims are without merit and look forward...

The Losers’ Club sure isn’t, though. Today, the gang is heading to the J. Edgar Hoover Building in Washington, DC to help the FBI solve a strange case file that was sent to them from the Derry Private Library in Maine. It’s an X-File dated February 8, 1998 and there’s a single word at the top: “Chinga”. Rest assured, the truth is out there … somewhere.
Join Special Agents Michael Roffman, Justin Gerber, McKenzie Gerber, and Sammie Kuykendall as they attempt to solve this bizarre case. Together, they explain how best-selling author Stephen King got involved (and how his script was reworked by the writers’ room), decipher the Kingian influences within, and reminisce on how they all first found The X-Files.
(It should be noted that this discussion was recorded in October 2021 for their Patreon, The Barrens, and that it’s being unlocked today for the episode’s 25th anniversary.
