Warning: Spoilers
These five minutes we have here are the music video for the song "Danny Don't You Know" from Ninja Sex Party. this was released in summer 2018, so now it is roghly a year and a month old and has racked up millions of views since then on Youtube. One reason would be that this is one of more music videos / short films than you'd think that has Canadian child actor Finn Wolfhard from it and unless you have never come across Stranger Things, you will get the reference. Anyway, back to this clip here. I think the song is pretty catchy and can also be enjoyed without seeing the music video. But the latter still lifts the quality up even further. Wolfhard plays a nerdy teenage boy and his future self, a successful rock musician, enters his life and tells him that all will be good no great eventually, even if it doesn't feel that way yet. Clearly this song and music video does not take itself seriously one bit, which is not only shown by the fact that time travel is taken for granted, but also that there is lines like everybody is weird and nerdy on the inside well something like that and that he is a virgin and will be for a while. It is kinda funny too without a doubt. So yeah maybe it does not exude greatness and it is also not really a hymn for nerds and honestly the lead singer does look nothing like Wolfhard (don#t be fooled by the curls), but it is nice little pointless pleasure overall. I give it a thumbs-up and a bit of a pity that I have never come across Ninja Sex Party so far. My loss perhaps, even if admittedly the rating here on imdb is just at 9.6 and come on guys that is wayy to o high. Nonetheless check this one out, but don't expect utter brilliance or you could be disappointed.
