He very nearly got away with it.

An interesting look at the notorious killer and psychopath, John William Cooper, a man who committed rape and murder, and almost got away with it.

An interesting documentary, with some fascinating footage, including the killer's appearance with Jim Bowen on Bullseye.

Susanna Reid once again is very good, allowing the focus to be on the story, not on herself.

I found it very interesting, the involvement of The Police was intriguing, we got a fascinating insight.

This is surely the story for ITV's upcoming drama The Pembrokeshire Murders, has to be.

Fascinating, 8/10.

Interesting

Having just watched the Britbox mini-series The Pembrokeshire Murders, it was curiosity that led me to watch this documentary. Since I expected the outcome, it wasn't that surprising, although it was surprising that a lot of the dramatization seemed to reflect reality. (I see that one of the investigators interviewed is a white woman, where the female detective in the mini-series was not, although the last name was used for a male detective. Artistic license.) Also notable was how much the younger Conner resembled late game show presenter Alex Trebek. Reid does a professional job, and I have always found her personable in watching her on Good Morning Britain. Only gripe is some dialogue was hard to understand (American license) so sub-titles would have helped.
