This series is a joy to watch.

After watching series one and two, I found this series really entertaining. Showing what life is like as a sheep farmer in England. In addition, proving that all their nine children have their uses in the farm. A must watch!

Life on the farm - Enid Blyton style.Absolutely wizard.

Warning: Spoilers
Sheep farmers Clive and Amanda Owen and their nine children show us the true old - fashioned values of hard work, enthusiasm and family. Their children are all Millennials but with none of the so - called 'snowflake' characteristics their contemporaries are so often accused of possessing. 'Ravenseat Farm' near the Yorkshire/Northumbria border is set in a bleak and open landscape and their is no escape from the vicissitudes of nature. Life and work is hard. Everybody mucks in to get things done. It's a very mid - 20th century attitude that seems to work for them. Those brought up on 'Famous Five' and 'Secret Seven' books will recognise the firm but fair parental guidance allowing the children a good degree of independence and self - reliance. Nature may be red in tooth and claw but there are important life - lessons to be learned from it.

In a dark world there is a utopian family!!

Warning: Spoilers
When you search the quagmire of tv blandness and banality and nearly give up ever finding anything stimulating to watch, along comes probably the most uplifting, inspiring and unconventional tv series ever put on the dross filled tv schedule! 'Our Yorkshire farm' should win all the plaudits it deserves, to see families the way they used to be, with children running free, instead of being bolted into their bedrooms, being poisoned by social media, Twitter, war games etc is an absolute delight! Reinstates a belief that humans have not yet lost the total plot!!

Sooo nice to see well behaved, unspoilt children being raised by encouraging parents in the great outdoors away from Tv's and video games. A breath of fresh air!

The Owen family are fantastic to watch on this series. A great insight into the life on a rural Yorkshire farm. Amanda Owen is an inspiration.

I want this tv program to go on forever I love it . Even with 9 children they can run a farm I mean respect !! Keep doing what your doing guys because you are a true inspiration to not only young farmers but those who don't come from a farming background can't wait for the next episode.

Life on a farm is very rewarding
grpurssell6 November 2022
I started life in a capiral city but during my teens visited a farm in similar climate. My parents moved to a sheep farm and I helped during my leave. I experienced many of the adventures on this show. It brings back very fond & rewarding memories. Having reached my 60s, I find it absolutely amazing & a credit how Clive & Amanda have managed to bring up 9 well mannered, well grounded children. They all chuck in to work hard without complaint. Not a sign of narcissism or spoilt bratty behaviour. One of my favourite shows ever. I hope this continues so we can watch these kids grow into adults. Good luck and wish the family a safe & rewarding life.

What on Earth is Channel 5's obsession with Yorkshire?!

It beggars belief that people in a dark room commission such sheer and utter drivel and think that by serving it up to the public we'll wolf it down and thank them.

Rubbish.
