This was a phenomenal episode. One of my favorites from the show. This was Bertholdt's episode and it was amazing character development for him. Loved seeing the flashbacks of prior events. Bertholdt and Reiner's friendship was developed so well here.

The second half of the episode with Armin and the big moment was incredible. The OST, VA and dialogue were on another level. The Colossal Titan CGI didn't bother me. An episode this good might not even be top 3 for this arc. This show is really a masterpiece.

Makes me feel like any rating I would give to this show is pointless...

... and that is because no matter how high my rating is, this show is beyond that, or better said, it deserves way more than even the highest rating.

How can a show like this (an anine)have fantastic action, amazing story and powerful character development? Like the two greatest characters I've seen in any anime ever are right here (Armin and Erwin). It is beyond words to describe how awesome this anime is in 1. Having fantastic action... 2. Great revelations and tie-ins with earlier episodes that makes you mind go crazy. and 3. Continuing to increase every episode. This show just keeps getting better and better and I can't find words to describe my amazement and my anticipation on the next 3 episodes that are coming.

I am truly witnessing something very very special!

I'm a huge AoT fan and I've read a little bit of it's mangas years ago but i forgot to realize that they made adaptation 10x BETTER and couldn't get enough of it. So head ups guys THIS IS THE MOMENT WE'VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR AFTER ALL THESE YEARS! (You know what i'm talking about for the manga readers)

The much awaited 2nd part of season 3 gets better with every episode! The 2nd biggest mystery in AOT (1st being the truth of this world in the cellar) has the simplest most obvious yet bone chilling explanation (yet no one bothered to think of that). The way this series keeps subverting expectations for the better is amazing!!

This episode was really solid! The opening scene was brutal and gave us insight to previous events! This episode perfectly developed Bertholdts character as well as exploring the friendship between him and Reiner! The soundtrack in this episode was AMAZING and they NAILED the transformation scene!

Marco's real reason for dying was shocking. We get what happened to Reiner and Bertholdt before preparing for battle, and a great last ten minutes showing why Bertholdt has had enough of humanity, while Reiner's status is still unknown.

What you'll do when you have decide to kill the friends you have for years, who are your brothers in arms to achieve your goal? Bertholdt understands the rash reality of the situation and he says,"You are precious comrades to me, also I intended to kill you" Name of the episode "Descent" fits so well, as Bertholdt descent he has to save a childhood friend and kill his comrades.

This masterpiece anime won't stop outdoing itself I swear to god, this episode was nuts from start to finish. What's most epic is that they do all this in 15 minutes what GOT can't figure out to do in an hour and half. God save Hange, she is too good for this cruel world.
