Chef (2014)
You know what this movie id really about.
Straight forward plot and storytelling. Beautiful food.
Dunkirk (2017)
Simple yet suspenseful
An artistic movie nonetheless. A bit too slow for my liking. It's story telling is simple yet suspenseful.
The Pursuit of Happyness (2006)
You gotta do what you gotta do
A touching movie of how life is a pursuit. A long grueling journey where we have to do anything and everything we can to find happiness. Even when it seem like all odds are against us.
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004)
Great concept. but a hot mess.
I know its trying to be deep and abstract. The concept is actually simple. So the movie tries to portray the complexity through It's videography. Good intention. But it tried to hard. Felt like I was watching a mess. Still giving an average score since it atleast tries to be new.
Catch Me If You Can (2002)
A great redemption beginning
A Movie about a lost soul, with sheer confidence took every opportunity open to him and created more opportunities. A great ending. A true ending. The ending is the true beginning.
Joze to tora to sakana-tachi (2020)
Must Watch Wholesome Romance
Great romance. Clear and interesting story. Tons of lessons.
Raya and the Last Dragon (2021)
Straight forward story
A story about trust. A mid tier Disney princess flick with children in mind. It may seem naïve. In a world where we are taught to trust others less, Maybe we should also teach our children to trust more.
The Judge (2014)
A pleasant yet touching surprise
Thought this was a comedy flick. It caught me by surprise and hit pretty deep. A very enjoyable movie with RDJ usual flare. It hits the right spots. It's nothing special. It doesn't have to be. It is also a reminder of how we shouldn't lose sight of our important relationships.
Invincible (2021)
Was surprised how good it was
It's actually pretty good. The story has a Rick and Morty taste to it. Don't really know why. The animation is not the greatest its pretty good, The Character development in not bad but still lacking. The highlight of this show might be the voice actors. Thanks to daddy Bezos deep pockets. In conclusion, they did a pretty Ok job.
300: Rise of an Empire (2014)
Manly man part 2!!
Manly man is back this time is the shade of dark blue!
Did you miss men with pumped up testosterone fighting for FREEDOM!?? Then be sad no longer, for these manly men will quench your thirst and fight with rock hard abs on the deep blue sea.
300 (2006)
Yellow Manly Man
Just what I expected. Manly man, freedom etc. From a visual standpoint, good fight scenes but lack any other color besides dark yellow.
Soul (2020)
Pixar did it again. In a good way
I always loved how Pixar is able to simplify complex topics regarding philosophy so that even kids can understand. Life is about living. That's a great message.
The Green Mile (1999)
A simple story filled with character
A movie about the pain and hardships of the world. Filled with character, love and miracles.
Mat Moto: Kami Mat Moto Bukan Mat Rempit (2016)
A great tribute
A tribute to the real bikers of malaysia and about the stigma surrounding them. Great visuals but lacking in clear structure of story telling.
The Great Gatsby (2013)
A must in your romantic movie list
A love story. Up to the viewer if it's a good one. Was told beautifully. Dreams sometimes don't come true but people come so far chasing them.
The Shawshank Redemption (1994)
Hope
A movie about hope. Where with the right effort and mind we can all have it. Even in a world where hope seems no where to be found.
