The Holcroft Covenant (1985)

Great film, great directing, great plot, and very well acted.

This movie intrigued me right from the beginning, with unusual twists and turns with a surprise ending.

Very well directed and written, and the music carries it well too.

Being a big fan of Michael Cain, he did not disappoint and fit the role perfectly. No one could have done it better.

The DVD is in my collection, and I watch it often. It's always enjoyable and despicable as well.

It's the personification of evil versus good.

I would recommend this movie to anyone except children.

Life Is Beautiful (1997)

One of the BEST movies of the century!

This is one of the absolute BEST movies I have ever seen in my life. It is superbly directed, written, photographed, designed, staged, and lit. The acting is great, and the story is wonderful, even though the end is sad.

Roberto Benigni deserves even more accolades than just Academy Awards. He deserves great praise as one of the best directors of the century. He really, really knows what he is doing in telling such a superb, profound, and important story about the power of positive thinking toward life, love, those he loves, and mankind itself.

This movies is unforgettable, and will touch your heart like none other has done. It makes you smile. It makes you laugh. It makes you cry. And, it makes you really, really appreciate life and what you have. You don't need riches to be happy. All you need is to love and be loved. Real, honest, and unconditional love.

This wonderful movie has a prominent place in my collection, and I will see it over and over again for the rest of my life. I suggest you get a copy for yourself.

Powder (1995)

Powder - One of the BEST.

In my opinion, Powder is one of the best movies ever made in regards to its message. It deals with the ridiculousness of prejudice, bigotry, false judgements, animal cruelty, love of nature, love of mankind, love of life, and love of your fellow man. This movie is filled with love, IF, and I say IF you can "see" it. It is right in front of you. All you have to do, is really "watch" and "listen" to the movie.

The acting is excellent. The music is excellent. The story is excellent and easy to follow. Cinematography is excellent. Directing is excellent also. It is a true winner.

I wish more movies like this were being made. The world needs them, especially in this day and age.

Howard the Duck (1986)

Howard's great !

I think Howard The Duck is a perfectly good little fantasy movie.

It is a movie that is NOT supposed to be taken seriously, and I find it a lot of fun. It is in my movie collection, and I've seen it many times.

Good acting, good creatures, good effects for the time.

It is fun, for the sake of fun.

Good going' George.

There is a lot of garbage out there that I have no idea how they EVER got funding, but Howard The Duck was money well spent. It would be fun re-mastered in 3D too.

Blind Date (1987)

One of the best.

I don't know what everyone is talking about. I've seen this movie many times and have it in my collection. I think it is one of the funniest movies I've ever seen, and I've seen many.

I think the movie moves along just fine, the characters are believable, the story is believable, and every actor does better than their best. The casting was perfect. The cinematography, set design, and all other aspects were good too.

It was directed superbly as well. And why not, since it was directed by a master of comedy.

I love it, and intend to see it many more times.
