Lindsay (2014)

Its not what you think, you need an open mind.
24 April 2014
It was interesting.

Lindsay's story was told in a way, where the best way to describe it, would be interesting. Its probably unlike any other documentary or reality TV show I've seen where you don't quite know what is really going on or who's perspective to trust.

The last part of the series wraps things up quite nicely. Whatever judgements and thoughts you made throughout the series you get more of a perspective about why certain things happened during the series. The real moral you walk away with is, the stories you see in the tabloids or even seeing the documentary never tells the real story so no matter what is being portrayed.

Depending on who you are or how cemented your opinions become this is a moral the audience may or may get. In a way this made the documentary artsy. You as the audience really have to make up your own mind and use your own brain.

My only gripes are, I think the docu-series was too short. I don't think we got to see enough of Lindsay as an animal in her own natural habitat. This was filmed 2 weeks after rehab, it starts off with an insane move across the country, the beginning of building her staff, later we find out what's really been going on with her. Because of that, I really don't think these 8 episodes showed who Lindsay really is. This is a major transitional period in her life. It may be unflattering but any transitional moments can make any person unflattering. It doesn't mean that's who they really are.

As audience members, I can see why some people might get disappointed because we think we're not getting what we were promised but in a way, we do. This is a story about a girl, continually trying to climb her way out of a slump. The story just isn't completed. I think the docu-series should have started after her move, she had established things and organized her situation better. That way we could see the resolution of the story. What we're really watching is the somebody going through a dark time in their life that is trying to get out.

The worst part is, because of Lindsay's nature we don't get to go through the journey she goes through. We get shut out because of her fears of being judged. Ironically, that's what makes us judge her. She comes off in a certain way. If you can look past that and catch the glimpses of her saying the right things that a passionate, ambitious, motivated person knows and realize she never tries to destroy a person even though she is angry. You'll realize there is a totally different person there we don't get to meet yet but she's in there.

As entertain goes it was entertaining and interesting to watch. I think the situation is more complex than what we were shown.

one word... AWESOME!
27 November 2012
I was turned off by the title. I don't like titles that sound negative or crass.

So when I decided to randomly watch it one day when i couldn't watch it. I WAS INSTANTLY HOOKED. Its become my most favorite TV show to watch and its the type of show where I can watch the episodes over and over and over again.

The show it like a fresh air. Its So FUN, surprising, quirkly. Its SO NEW YORK. Its breakfast at tiffany's ACTUALLY fun & modern. really good pace timing wise but HILARIOUS!

It think its so relatable to New Yorkers because we all know a crazy girl like chloe or we are that crazy girl. Or we're that innocent thing that tries so hard to make it out here do the right thing but something or someone comes n our lives and changes that. I hope it becomes everyone's favorite show like mine. because I want more episodes and a million more seasons.

Finally. A design show isn't so commercial.
3 September 2012
It's filled with all the industry legends of the design world. All these contestants are so lucky to have the ultimate education in the industry to have the mentor and feedback the way they get to have.

My only thing is, I hate the host because she feels negative, mean and doesn't feel special like Heidi. At the end when she was dismissing the runner ups she treated them like they were nothing when she should've been celebrating their accomplishments despite the fact that they couldn't get first.

Isaac was alittle nice about presenting his crits where the designers didn't seem to get his messages. I really like him in Michael Kor's shoes.

The mentor, Johanna Coles is like the best person to fill Tim Gunn's shoes because she's so knowledgeable, respectable, tasteful, warm and a female that more intimidating than Tim. Really great job picking her.

Overall, I like how the crits and the contestants came out more refined and civil as opposed to catty, dirty and negative crits can be. but I would've liked to have seen more surprises from the show because especially the last 3 designers worked so hard.

Too blockbuster
12 August 2012
I really feel for Andrew Garfield because he really does love spiderman and I like the concept about Peter Parker's first love.

But Seriously? Dorky, Geeky introvert Peter Parker is awesome at standing up to bullies, interspecies Science, Photography, handsome and designing then making his own kickass suit. He's too normal, too brave and perfect. In fact this spiderman was cocky, obnoxious and overconfident in his first vigilante attempts.

The beauty of Peter Parker is the fact that he is dorky, nerdy and introverted. He's suppose to be the underdog that becomes a brave hero. Especially in the beginning when he's finding himself. It'd be nicer if Peter can't stay true to his marvel character he was still that character that started off lanky, clumsy, awkward who loves all the dorky stuff like mario, WOW, halo and COD. His family matters most to him. That he can't talk to girls. His first time catching a bad guy he's so unsure of himself that the awkward moments are just hilarious. Like a really adorable sad puppy that surprises himself by starting the mythology of being somebody out of place in the world that grows into their skin.

Why couldn't they have made the story about betty brant first, His first love which, first love stories are always the most powerful and tragic. Then make Gwen into an even more gut wrenching tragic story. Because the Gwen story is probably his most tragic relationship where she hates him for killing her dad but can't leave him because she loves him, pulls a gun on him when she find out his secret. Pressures him to marry her but he's too guilty then accidentally kills her when he tries to save her. This story could have been so much more. The Gwen story should've made the audience cry. Their relationship should've been a crazy gut wrenching sick relationship where you really wish that they could be together and they're almost soulmates and they really love each other like crazy but everything about their relationship gets so sick and twisted you just know that the audience knows they can't. That's the tragedy of Gwen Stacy and that's movie I would've created. Where their whole relationship is, I want that person but I just can't no matter how much i want them I can't be with them from the very start with a lot of magnetism. And the audience really wants to root for something they know can't happen and the thought of Gwen breaks their heart.

The Amazing Spiderman wasn't that, its just a summer blockbuster movie. Where any story wasn't pushed hard enough except towards the mythology of his father. The visuals are nice I just wish they had a true nerd create the story of this film. They started it with gwen but I wish it was a lot stronger where you could really feel for them where you're left super sad fo them

Chuck (2007–2012)

REALLY well-made show
9 August 2012
Chucking ending makes me want to cry. I think this is officially my favorite series. Its no wonder why its considered cult the because the personalities, music, and everything completely embodies the interest of its time. I wonder why chuck wasn't bigger and upset because it was so underrated. I started watching the show 2 weeks before it ended and really regret I hadn't gotten on that boat sooner.

It was so well written in terms of style, pace, comedy, drama, and action all made into a story line. It was visually well produced, I loved the wardrobe and the actors had such a great job showing dynamic personalities. My favorite scenes that I thought were the most epik were the nerd herd scenes. Even the short term characters were awesome.

I'm so mad that season 5 is ONLY 13 episodes. And I really wish I could've seen how much further the writers would've taken it if it had gone on longer. I'm so sad the Chuck & Sarah story is over and I can't watch new episodes of Colonel Casey or Jeffster

If the makers of Chuck get another series i'm on it!
