X-Men '97 (2024– )

Everything I wanted and more
10 April 2024
When X-Men TAS first aired in Germany, all the way back in 1993, I immediately fell in love with the show, the characters, the story, the world of the X-Men. I became a fan that day.

Now, 27 years later, I'm a fully grown man and still a fan. When I heard that they were going to continue this show, I was worried. With all the bad stuff Marvel has put out in recent years I couldn't imagine this show being anything more than mediocre. I expected a preachy show, that focused more on ideology and the current Zeitgeist. Boy, was I wrong.

X-Men '97 has superior writing. The dialogue is excellent, sometimes almost shakespearean. It comes with a fist full of nostalgia, easter eggs and fan service. The animation is pretty good, better than expected. Aaand...it has the theme song!

This show is everything I wanted and so much more. I love it.

Every Edgy Teen's Wet Dream
9 March 2024
If you are an edgy teen or never moved out of parent's basement...if the only things that make you laugh are sex jokes and violence...if you buy your clothes at Hot Topic...if you like like bad animation...then this show is exactly what you are looking for.

Some dude (or chick?) from Deviant Art got enough money to make their own show and boy, does it show. It just proves that in this day and age anyone with an internet connection can have their own cartoon shows.

Every single joke is predictable, the songs are cathcy but forgetable, the character design is horrendous and every other word is a swear. Guys, they have a character that pretty much is walking talking sex and drug joke.

Poor Keith David. He takes every job nowadays for a hot meal.

Unwatchable
4 October 2021
This episode just shows, that this show has become unwatchable. It's almost as bad as The Simpsons now.

American Dad! (2005– )

Used to be great - now it's just random
24 February 2019
Are they trying to ruin this shwo on purpose? It started out clever, funny and so different from other shows. Now you can almost feel the writers coming up with the most random stories and jokes possible. It's not clever anymore, it tries to be obnoxious. American Dad used to have original storylines, that were funny and memorable. The latest episodes however are just...well...stupid. It's like the characters are yelling: "Are you laughing yet? No? Okay, we'll turn it up a notch". Here's an American Dad episode I just made up from scratch: Stan realizes that Francine's grandmother was hot, so he clones her and keeps saying how hot she is. Francine becomes so mad, that she fights her own grandmother in a pool of goo, where the clones are artificially grown. In the B-Story Roger and Steve go to candy factory, like in the Willy Wonka movie, where chimpanzees are held as slaves. When they try to free them, the monkeys kill all the workers and their favorite chimp tragigly sacrifises itself. The episodes ends with Francine winning and kicking Stan in the balls as he lies there in pain for like 2 minutes. See? That's how much thought is in the newer episodes. This show was a 8 or 9 out of ten for me. Not it's barely about average

Most Underrated Disney Movie Ever
13 June 2008
It's funny, it's heartwarming, it's heartbreaking and it's so wonderful. The Fox And The Hound sure is the most underrated Disney movie ever.

A little fox orphan is found by Widow Tweed, a nice old lady. She keeps him as a pet and names his Tod. A few days later Tod meets a hound dog named Copper in the woods. They become friends and play together, but Copper's owner, Amos Slade, wants him to become a hunting dog and he hates Tod. Their friendship just isn't meant to be. Amos takes his dogs Copper and Chief to a hunting trip and when they return, both Copper and Tod are grown up. But are they still friends now that Copper is a fully trained hound dog or will nature itself break this friendship apart? The Fox And The Hound made me laugh and cry like no other movie. It is the perfect Disney movie for so many reasons. Like other movie before or after he took hearts by storm. Even though there might be no happy end.

Rent it, Watch it, Love it.

Half-Life 2 (2004 Video Game)

Half-Life is back and it's better than ever
28 January 2008
20 years after the events of "Half-Life" Gordon Freeman is put out of his stasis and brought to a mysterious place called "City 17". Apparently after the horrible accident that happened at Black Mesa in Part 1 the world was taken over by a human-like species called the Combine. Also the creatures from Xen are still alive and they've taken over whole villages. Gordon meets up with some old friends from Black Mesa and is told that he has to save the world again.

In my opinion Half-Life 2 doesn't have the cerebro storyline the first part had. But the new graphics, characters and weapons make it one hell of a ride.

Open Season (2006)
10/10
One Of The Best Animated Movies Ever
1 April 2007
"Open Season" uses more adult and over-the-edge-humor than any other animated movie in the last few years. The characters are great. Much better than some animated side kicks we've seen this year. Ashton Kutcher, Martin Lawrance and Billy Conelly did a great job and also the music in this picture is very well chosen. The animation is brilliant and some shots will clearly blow your mind.

This movie isn't just for kids. Adults will have quite a few laughs, too.

Many people say that this movie is just like every other animated movie we've seen so far and the storyline seems familiar. But you could say the same about every damn horror movie or chick flick. Even if every animated movie had the same story, you still can find differences. And Open Season is a movie of it's own. So don't bug me.

All in all you GOTTA see this movie.

Saw III (2006)

Gore, Gore, Gore
7 November 2006
Warning: Spoilers
If you really wanna see this movie (which I hope you do), be warned! It is one of the goriest most violent and gruesome movies ever.

The storyline is surprisingly well and we even get to see a little more on earlier traps and background information, that don't leave any questions. At least not for me.

The plot is amazing and this time the main twist at the end is as shocking as the original shocker in the first one.

All in all this movie is one hell of a ride for horror maniacs and especially SAW-fans.

But just make sure you won't eat too much before seeing this movie. It may end up on the floor.

House Of The BRAIN-Dead
17 May 2006
Warning: Spoilers
I can't believe how you can ruin a simple shooter like HOUSE OF THE DEAD in this kind of way.

The whole movie is a disgrace. Bad acting, bad script, bad camera. I just wanna remind you that there actually was a scene where every single character was shown in a crappy camera ride shooting a zombie. What was the point of that? If you ever played the game you know that it actually has a pretty good story. A bad guy creates horrible creatures in his mansion. One day the creatures brake free and kill everything that moves. Two agents try to stop the bad guy and have to face hideous monsters and zombies including gargoyles, spiders and leeches.

The movie however takes place on an island with some stupid teenagers having a rave party. Suddenly all hell breaks lose and the teens have to face the zombies.

All in all this movie is one of the worst movies ever made. Don't you ever watch it!
