It's just a great movie!

I've seen this movie and for me it's Al Pacino at his best! The movie has a very simple premise, two guys rob a bank, but everything that can go wrong does. In the beginning the women who work in the bank are afraid, but once the situation escalates into a sideshow, some the women become comfortable with the situation. Basically, the entire movie is in the bank and all types of comedy and drama surrounds it. This is Al Pacino early in his career and for anyone who hasn't seen the movie, I definitely recommend it. Just keep in mind between all the madness you see in the film that this is a true story, and very entertaining!

North of 60 (1992–1998)
It was a great series!

I'm actually from the United States and happened upon the show while watching some Canadian television on CBC. I loved the show right from the start. I had never seen a Native series on television before and this show was captivating. You could relate to all the characters in one way or another, it didn't always feel like just a Native show. The characters had problems that we all have, they went through experiences we all eventually go through and it was just well put together. I've seen all the episodes repeatedly and even though the show has been off for years, but continues through made for TV movies I still hunger for more North of 60!

Distant Drumming: A North of 60 Mystery
7 February 2005
I've seen this movie and it actually wasn't that bad. Of course it doesn't compare to the series episodes but it's always good to see my favorite characters again, Michelle, Tee Vee, etc. The movie begins slow but eventually takes off and I found it an entertaining experience. The movie finds everyone back in Lynx River with a new case for Michelle to solve on the horizon. Tee Vee's out of jail and back from Calgary with a new friend on parole, who happens to be at the center of a murder investigation. Daniel Dela is also a possible suspect with a prior connection to the murder victim. If you like the North of 60 series you'll be glad to catch this movie!
