Big Brother Jake (1990–1994)

The best show to show love between grown ups and kids.
2 June 2009
I enjoyed watching the show because it hit home with the message of love for your neighbor and country. That is something the country need right now. It is obvious, the show was a couple of decades ahead of its time. The actors and actresses were great too.The actress I really enjoyed was Barbara Meek. This actress seem to draw your attention by her smile. Jake drew your attention by showing a fatherly concern for the kids. The show explained to the audience how orphans go through situations of loneliness. Jake and Babara exemplified how we are to handle problematic kids. Now, that is really needed today. I think this show or its episodes should be aired again. Today, we need shows like this one to steer kids in the right direction again by assuring that there are people who really care.

Time has caught up with the show...so let's air it again and watch TV ratings sky rocket.

This movie was pitiful
15 April 2009
This movie in my opinion was a waste of film. The acting wasn't good at all. Miley Cyrus provided us with the same stale performance she does in the television series. It is almost a shame that wonderful Vanessa Williams agreed to even do this movie but I guess work is work. I doubt this movie will be remembered in five years. I do believe it is like the Lizzie McGuire movie of today. In two years most people won't even care. This script was very clichéd and slipshod. I did not find one bit of it convincing and if the songs were supposed to be the saving grace then that grace has run out. The music and the songs although most of them from Miley's actual albums although popular with the 8 to 14 crowd will be not considered quality compositions in the eyes of those that know true musical greatness. I would of preferred if she had written more original songs for this movie instead of recycling.

Not worth the money
23 February 2009
I found this movie to be lacking severely in plot structure and and in character development. There are many times when the director's attempts to be funny overshadow any chance there may be for character growth. A lot of the acting was wooden and there were many clichés thrown in there that the director was hoping no one would catch onto. The ending was especially horrendous as it appears the director could not come up with anything else so just made something up.

There were two highlights: Viola Davis' role in the film and when the lights came on in the theater and we were allowed to leave. Other than that I wouldn't want to see it again.

Actually better than Wall-E
2 July 2008
Call me crazy but I prefer this movie over Wall-E. The visuals were not as breaktaking yes but the sweet and simple storyline is so heart touching that you gotta love it. The characters are extremely cute and the plot beautiful. Horton's motto of a person is a person no matter how small is what makes this movie gold. And the ending makes me want to cry.

I won't go too much into the plot because I don't want to spoil it for anybody but this movie is a must see and your kids and yourself will love it.

My overall score is 10/10

Pretty pictures and thats about it
2 July 2008
This movie was entertaining first off. Which I think all movies should be. Now let it be known Dreamworks is no Pixar in terms of story development. Yet visually it was on par with Wall-E. The characters designs were very nice and stylized.

Yet here's the clincher the story was nothing short of typical. There was nothing that possibly set it apart from other movies like itself. There has even been books and televisison shows and movies and even videogames that preceed this that are based on some the principles of this movie.

The main character Po was just that po' in character development. It was just another Jack Black character except this time with fur. The casting was nothing spectacular. Could Dreamworks have maybe did a little bit more with it's actual casting. Yes. Instead they choose top celebs or celebs that basically everyone is accustomed to and gave them roles. The other characters besides Po had little to no personality to me except for maybe Master Sif.

The humor was typical Dreamworks so I won't touch that but otherwise I can tell you now that if you're looking for a nice way to kill some time this way movie is the way to do it.

My overall score is a 6

WALL·E (2008)

Wall-E is this years 'Legend'
1 July 2008
Warning: Spoilers
I thought this movie was very much like 'I'am Legend' and I was nearly expecting some Darkseekers to come out lugging a corpse with big ears. Overall though this movie was very well put together and the visuals were stunning. The storyline was very mature for a children's movie. But perphaps it was meant to be family movie. Either way I think it was quite entertaining it was a pleasure to watch it. The characters were very endearing and Wall-E as a character was very cute and I was rooting for him. I have to see this movie again to make a full evaluation but for now I give it a seven and a half.

My grade so far; 7.5/10

Loonatics Unleashed (2005–2007)
Holy Crap.......They have the nerve to do a Lola remake!
22 April 2006
Warning: Spoilers
I love the show don't get me wrong but their personality are too much like their ancestors which is a bit off a turn off.

Ace Bunny: A yellow rabbit with laser eyes and ninja-like skills. 1)Why did they try too hard to make it like bugs, they tried way too hard. Some of his lines are too cheesy for words.

Lexi Bunny: No they didn't. They did not try to do a Lola remake. Lola is not an original. But, that's not the point. They tried way too hard to get her sex appeal in the cartoon. Lola was sexy without trying or desperately acting like a teenager. Sad.

Rev Runner: His name is unoriginal but still. I glad they made him talk. That's much better. But, his powers are boring. All he does is run fast. He doesn't have any kind laser of projectile to throw. He's one of the ones where his powers match his personality.

The citizens: Wait a minute the Looney Tunes hardly showed any other humans than the giant, Elmer Fudd and Yomsitme Sam. Why so many humans? This was the same problem in SonicX. More animals would off been great.
